    i'd love to see a perfomance comparison between xg71.89 , xg76.41.
currently i'm satisfied with xg76.41.these drivers have given me the fastest performance to date.

yes , they do , but they brought it out just for marketing cause it still has a 128-bit mem. interface. And i've been fool enough to buy one.

For me, it's a toss between XG 76.41 and XG 71.89.
Both have smooth gameplay and IQ.
I had some minor gaming issues with 76.41, but 71.89 has been rock solid stable!

Ok, just to help some of you out there who are still undecided on which modified driver to use, here's a little comparo.

Due to the time required to run all the 3 x 3DMarks; 01, 03 and 05, I have decided on just using Aquamark3 as it takes the shortest time to bench and is probably the best 3D app in my opinion. Some of you may think the result is not complete but that's all the time I have, considering installing, bench, uninstalling, cleaning and re-installing. A lot of work, you know?

    My system setting:
    CPU: 2.353 ghz (13 x 181) @1.65v
    AGP: 79 mhz@1.5v
    Mem timings: 2.5/3/3/7@2.6v
    Graphics core/ mem: 606/1114

    AquaMark3:
    71.89 (official) - 50,316
    XG71.89HD - 50,576
    XG76.10HD - 51,371
    XG76.41HD - 51,956
XG76.50HD - 52,004 (but it gives me wavey screens!)

Hope this is useful to you somehow. So, which driver am I using now, you may ask? I settled with XG76.41HD as it is stable on my system and I have yet to see wavey screens. <cross my fingers>

3dmark isnt everything and doesnt give you an accurate representation of performance :\

They sell for SGD75 (MYR165) for the copper version and SGD10 (MYR22) less for the ALCU one.

If you have friends travelling to Singapore on business or leisure, ask them to get it for you. Ask them to go to Sim Lim Square. There are more than 20 shops selling it.

    Hope this helps.

"oh no ive lost 13 3dmarks"
    roflmfao..
Thats pretty dumb. Run the test a few times, notice the score varies from as much as 50 points for each test, with nothing changed..
Plus there's no way a human being can actualy tell the difference between 60fps and 64fps.. Which is the difference your getting in a game/3d mark between official/modified drivers.

3dmark is marketing tool, it has no real benifit to actual gamers, no review sites with much sense offer the scores for anything other then "because its popular", they all acknoledge its crap.

The best driver is latest one that exibits the fewest bugs in games on your system. 3Dmark, an innaccurate synthetic benchmark isn't gonna help you

I use XG71.89s and am totally happy with 'em - no issues whatsoever. Will stick with these for sometime I think. (Each to their own in my opinion and the difference between one set of drivers and another may not even be noticeable to most ppl).

Higher versions of the XG drivers give me sound problems issues in that it decides to go off after about 20 secs of play in games......

    Hey pengful
I have the exact same card as u, but i do not think it is performing as it should
I have nforce2 mobo, same card, 1 gig duel ddr400 ram, 550w gainward psu, 2600+ amd, suffient cooling..
Just to demonstrate, i play CS:S (Counter Strike Source) and i get between 70-20 fps .. which is not cool :(
If u could pls reply if u have advice or anything, thanks alot, Hazzard

BTW: ive tried lots of drivers, 76.10's are working best for me atm.
