All this nonsense with AMD and Intel is just hilarious. Nothing is going to happen if you don't install these ridiculous "fixes and patches". People are all freaked out over nothing. It is just a complete laugh. This is like the mainstream media that lies to the public, causing fear in the masses, and then the government "solves the problem" by taking more freedoms and liberties away.

Funny .. I can't see the image you posted until I quote your post ...
If I'm replacing my MB it will be with what you pictured .. the ROG CrossHair V11 HERO .. but not the Wi-Fi edition.

Game performance bit underwhelming but not a surprise as this is a refresh release.

Really hope Zen 2 can catch up Intel in this regard.

Turbo frequency scaling wrt. number of cores looks interesting.

I hope it improves with BIOS updates it is too early to call. Still best gaming CPUs seems to be i5 8400/8500(wherever available). Bang for buck.

Zen 2 comes for sure in 2019? Any info?

and new bios for ROG STRIX X350-F GAMING

also new ryzen user here. so I been experimenting with clocks.
so far I got my memory at 3000mhz using amd profile settings, even though it is rated at 3200. but its intel cert memory. so take some changes to settings to get it stable.

and just testing cpu overclock. all cores set to 3.7ghz. using normal voltage which is actually lower compare to the turbo .

Ended up reflashing bios 6001 but ended up using AfuEfix64 through the EFI shell utilizing switches /b /p /n /k /clrcfg. Seems to have cleared up a few issues by erasing and writing to all the blocks. The cpu speed as read out by HWiNFO64 does not fluctuate as radically. The temps are only a smidge better. The NVMe drive performance increased from 3000 to 3100 as measured by the Samsung Magician software. Ram latency is now a consistent 65.0. So something left over from a previous flashing was not playing all that well with others.

Still patiently waiting for a newer bios to play with.

When you flash you're supposedly meant to clear the CMOS. Although this is done at flash time it's still recommended in flash instructions.

In the command line that's represented by the /clrcfg command.

Thank you for putting that command into plain words. Every step before the actual flashing of the bios I am literally standing on one foot spinning clockwise while rubbing my head counter clockwise. All those steps make me think twice before just jumping in and saying "What the he||".
    1. Load and save defaults
    2. clear CMOS
    3. remove power
    4. pull battery (out for a minute or two)
    5. while battery is out, disconnect any peripheral not needed for flashing
    6. put battery back
    7. reconnect power
    8. clear CMOS again
    9. flash new bios version
    10. clear CMOS again
    11. remove power again
    12. pull battery again
    13. reconnect all peripherals
    14. put battery back
    15. reconnect power
    16. clear CMOS a final time
    17. Boot into bios to input settings
It's crazy but that is what I do. Will not change it because it keeps me from flashing every Tom, Dick, and Harry bios version that comes down the pike.

Neat, +150-200mhz, not bad considering they tightened the l2 and l3 cache latencies,

Honestly, I know its only CPUZ, but this made me feel good about my 1500x @ 3.9
Ram is at 2933. When I push it to 3060, I get negative single core performance ironically. It will drop down to 391.
Wish I had a better cooler though. Pushes 63c at load.
    Hoping I can get a R5 2600 and push 4ghz+ with a 120mm AIO.
