    found this:

AMD calculated their rated boost clocks at 50°C.
Depending on the processor, maximum boost will go down with temperature:
    - 3900/3950 - 75 MHz per 10°C
    - 3800/3700 - 50 MHz per 10°C
    - 3600/3500 - 35 MHz per 10°C

    @K.S.
prime x370-pro does have a test 5406 though and I saw a post by a Asus dude @hwluxx forums, that x370 is supposed to get 1004b in december

    on a sidenote:
not even the Crosshair Vll has gotten 1.0.0.4b yet, and CH boards are supposed to be...

Ok. Seems to work fine though.

Guess the official will be 5.60 then or something.

Have noticed with 1004B and my X470-F Gaming through HWiNFO that Vcore voltage is a lot more sensitive to undervolting than previously. The actual CPU voltage setting in the bios with an offset of -0.0675, Vcore reaches 1.500v on all of the cores eventually and on multiple cores at the same time too. Have not done any testing past -0.0675 yet. Vcore of 1.5 was not reached up through offset of -0.0500.

Same here. I have it set to .0500 now. That seems to give me best of both single and multi core boost. Any more than that seems like CPU doesnt get enough voltage to ramp up. And any less and CPU hits temp limits(70c)...clocking down 25-50mhz under multi core load.

    CB20 gives me :
    Single Core:506-508
    Multi Core:4950-4975

See i think your single core is not boosting high enough, i do CCX overclocking on my 3900X it the best way to squeeze the most out, so have 3x at 4.5GHz, 3x at 4.45Ghz, and 6x 4.3GHz and my single core score is 522 and use 1.38v, CPU-Z is 556pts single core

Do not have this PC now, it was completed for friend. 5700xt and all running smoothly.

Our 3900X has better binning...My 3700X has never clocked higher than 4.425ghz @ 1.45v even with manual OCing.

my 3700X barely makes it to 4400 and has never gone past that. Some of that could be my use of the Wraith Prism but temps are always good so I don't really know.

I never really had any luck manual OCing. Like I said 4.425ghz was max:

    CCX-0
    C1-4425
    C2-4375
    C3-4375
    C4-4425

    CCX-1
    C5-4350
    C6-4425
    C7-4350
    C8-4440

All core 4.4ghz @ 1.48v but it was hot and I never tested stability.
    I was able to run CCX-0 @ 4.375ghz and CCX-1 @ 4.300ghz @ 1.38v stable. But was getting same performance as PBO.

Binning isnt as good for 3700X. I never pushed past 1.48v either.

lol... yup. Just to see how much to get somewhat stable. But like I said way to hot. If I ran Prime or Aida is would jump fast

How were your cores broke up? Does your 3900X have them in different CCX's? If I tried to run say 2 core @ 4.40ghz and and 2 at 4.375ghz in the same CCX the the lower ones default to 3.50ghz....

    Edit: Nevermind Youtube it.

Yeah your CPU is split into CCXs of 3 (4x3) which helps when OCing. Where 3700X is CCX of 4(2x4). Making odds better of having bad core that wont OC as high. On top of lower binning.

I am curious, what is the actual goal here to run the 3700X CPU,at what speed would be satisfying. Are you guys/gals pissed off.Do you need to see the 4400Mhz clock speed all the time.
What about just doing an CPU underclock of 4250Mhz @1.25v which would be kick ass CPU clock with lower temperatures.

I would like to try a 3700X now in my cheap ass motherboard to see if it could run 4525Mhz like 2 x 3600X I had.It is all in the motherboard and you may drive yourself crazy wanting that extra 50Mhz.
Hell not seeing any 3900X yet for sale second hand but there are 3700X's,I am gonna try to score one, if I get it cheap enough I spam the thread..

I'm ok with my 3700X, CPU lotto being what it is and all. I just run it stock with PBO/Auto and that seems to give me good performance. I am alittle upset with the way AMD has handle and marketed the Boost and PBO. As even a rated boost of 4.4ghz is hard to get.(4.375ghz limit for boost with new BIOS. For me its always been about buying a CPU/GPU and push it to its max performance tweaking and modding it.....and my 3700X wont run 4250mhz @ 1.25v takes 1.358v:(. As far as heat wise I only hit 69.5c maxing the cores out in CB20 or Aida64, Prime... which will never happen in real world for me.

Yeah AMD messed up with but they also were not lying at the same time.Just really exaggerated what was possible with
Updates to Precision Boost Overdrive for the AMD Ryzen 3000 Series
    Robet H

I was happy with 2600X but for fun I bought 3 Ryzen 3 CPU's so far, I will be buying 3900X,3700X if I can get them cheap.I only game but I do have fun screwing around most of the time,I retired in 2013 so got lots of free time.

I'll get a 3900X or 3950X once things settle(demand/price) down (spring 2020). If Zen 3 is 20% or better performance wise then I'll grab a new board and CPU instead. Rumor mill saying 8%IPC gain along with 200mhz clock increase so we will see....

    Try like this:

V at 1.375v (try not to cross 1.45v is hard to cool then)
Also match Stars & dots ;) in RM.

    CCX-0
    C1-4400
    C2-4400
    C3-4200
    C4-4100

    CCX-1
    C5-4350
    C6-4400
    C7-4100
    C8-4000

I am wondering if you have ever checked the CPU clock when running like you stated here. The CPU can not run like this.CPU would default to highest CPU Clock on CCX and set the other one to base clock or lower than base clock when running games or anything really.

    Just letting you know.
