It also locked the max PBO boost to 200MHz and cpu will now boost to that full 200MHz (5050MHz).
    Temps are better by 1-2c.
L3 cache throughput did increase but no noticeable difference in game.

Good to see that AMD has finally caught up. The whole supply shortage is hurting AMD.

So Intel drooping prices is always good for AMD to drop prices. Competition is good for all.
Intel has some crazy sales on in Canada 10900 along with the rest of the 10/20 lineup , up to $200 Canadian off the price from a couple months ago.

    EDIT:I checked some prices
    10900K used to be $700+
5800X on release was $599 now up $40 to $639 OK AMD hurry up and drop that price before 11900 is released.

Able to buy from AMD directly? They have both the 5600X and 5800X in stock again. Got my son's 5800X from them.

Just checked Newegg.CA...selling for 649.99 plus 4.99 shipping. Canada is getting hosed.

In Canada and other countries ,prices tend to be higher than USA prices by $50 -$250 bucks after exchange of currency. You can find same exchange sometimes if you shop around.

Today on newegg USA 5800X $449USD=$563CAD
Newegg Canada $729CAD $160+ bucks different.
yeah the price difference sucks but what it is what it is.

Hi all! I'm new amd user (coming from i7 4790k to Ryzen 3700 pro)

    I have some question.

    Should I do this settings?

    • Global C-state Control = Enabled
    • Power Supply Idle Control = Low Current Idle
    • CPPC = Enabled
    • CPPC Preferred Cores = Enabled
    • AMD Cool'n'Quiet = Enabled
    • PPC Adjustment = PState 0
    • I also recommend disabling PBO, which activates Precision Boost 2.0 for clock management. This ensures only temperature and FIT play a role for clock speeds
And Do I need 1usmus power plan? (Windows 19042.906)

And I did overclock for my ram (BL2K16G30C15U4W)

Should I tweak some settings for my ddr?

    Thanks! :)

Something I learned about recently is that Newegg is actually a chinese owned company.

The company being Hangzhou Liaison Interactive Information Technology, which is located in Hangzhou, china

    https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rel...entering-into-merger-agreement-301159161.html

The merger still has not happened. Newegg first attempted to go public in 2009 but withdrew the registration in 2011. This current plan has Newegg going public because it is merging with a publicly traded company. "Newegg" will be surviving the merger and will be changing its name from Newegg Inc to Newegg Commerce.

Amazon will get all my business if this merger goes through. Current stock price of the company Newegg is attempting to merge with is bellow $1.00.

If remembering correctly, if freezes are experienced with the current settings, first thing to try is to change the idle control setting to Typical.

I havent touched newegg since 2017 and never looked back.
Its flooded and ruined with bs third party sellers and trash deals.

Only reason I bought on newegg was they had a 1500x for $139, X370 for $129 with a free $70 case back in Sep 2017 and I wanted to go ryzen for cheap from my X79 setup.

They still tend to be the cheapest for ram. Just need to make sure to click on Sold By Newegg and apply the filter setting...That way all the third party crud is removed.
