AMD 5nm Zen 4 Core Architecture
The AMD Zen 4 core architecture is the direct replacement for the existing Zen 3 which powers all of the current server, desktop, and mobile segments. It is said that Zen 4 will mostly be an overhaul of the Zen 3 core with bumped-up cache and higher clocks
. Zen 4 is expected to bring an IPC uplift between 15-24%, a single-threaded performance increase between 28-37%, and a similar or higher multi-threaded performance increase over the Zen 3 cores.
One major aspect of the Zen 4 core is going to be its much higher clock speeds. Prototypes and samples have already appeared with up to 5.2 GHz clock speeds so that will play a major role in the overall performance improvement over Zen 3.
The clock speeds are expected to get an 8-14% boost (sustained) over Zen 3 which is what we are also seeing in the recent leaks.
Another bios beta releasefor my b350 strix. But not touching those beta bios. March beta caused my system to stop stop responding with no internet or usb ,and would have to force power off which cause windows update Become corrupt. Had to reinstall the system.
Hopefully they have learned from Bulldozer. Could careless about higher clocks. IPC improvement is all that matters as long as it can be cooled and does not need power like the RTX rumors are going. Personally skipping Zen4 and will go for Zen4+ or Zen5.
It was more meant for a zen2 users to upgrade like im here. Still rumored 24% ipc increase over zen3 is huge and hopefuly ddr5 prices will go down as well.
I expect ryzen 5 7600x beating the 5950x in gaming easily.
Hi OnnA I have one question is it possible to add ADL support for my Gpu Amd hd 7310 because I get ADL get engine clock and not set maybe I have to copy something from Vbios or how it works? Many thanks in advance for helping

Im currently using Nimez Terascale latest amd driver I think my Gpu doesn't support this ADL but if I put my Vbios amd hd 7310 on AtomBiodReading there was Set Engine clock something like that and I found hex values and I think this site is only for developers users who want to use Adls to overclock and my problem is my Gpu doesn't support ADL set engine clock sadly many thanks for helping ❤️

Ok B2 in it's glory, so 5150MHz on 2nd C (16/16 for Gaming)
IMhO we don't need to change it yet
No CO yet for me, only Auto + PBO and EDC=1
@Hilbert Hagedoorn should do it for future testing, so no need to change platform yet.
What frequency do you have in Avx games like Battlefield V and Warzone?
Be careful with the "EDC bug" it can introduce instability or cause adverse affects such as corruption - some systems are fine with it, some not. It may not even give any performance benefit and it may even hurt performance.
It's a real luck of the draw setting, I tried it with my previous 3700X, it did indeed let me boost upto 4.475GHz but I kept having random crashes or just straight up odd behaviour. I've not tried it with my 5900X but honestly, there's no need to, using the curve optimiser is the best option I've found.
Im not using this settings at all, it was done for benches & kicks only. (To show-off the capability of Zen B2).
I can play BF2042* (no WHEA) with Per CCX 4.5GHz at 1.118v
and mostly im Playing at 4.1GHz at 0.943v.... it's enough for 71Hz.
*Im always testing OC in BF Games, now in 2042.
Hi bro, EDC is perfectly fine on my RIG. No weird things happend ever.
Same was with 3700X with EDC=1 can go up to 4.483MHz (BTW default was 4.4).
With the edc 1 you have to disable c states or it has issues with idle singlethread boost maybe thats why it was unstable.
I have C-States On with my current BIOS setup, and it's fine.
Do note that sometimes You'll need to Disable CPPC Preferred Core in the BIOS (leave the first opt. ON)
for better 0.1% FPS consistency. Windows spaming best core too much

IMhO it will be ~15 IPC only
Now take into consideration: Better DRAM, More Cache and 5.5GHz !
