Mine was just below the average, its the first time I have run it so maybe could get more with some system shuffling.
    I'm not bothered tbh, I dont play 3DMark :)

Yours is quite a bit higher than the average, well done.

    Ah, I see why.
Your GPU clock is 5.4% faster,
    vram is 4.3% faster
    CPU is 4.3% faster
Your CPU has HT which gives a higher score in 3DMark.

Not been on yet. Just had a quick blast on BC2 (7970 @ stock, 4GHz OC, Ram @ 1528 6-6-6-19) all textures HIGH, 2xAA, 4xAF 2560x1440 and seeing a solid 55-60 FPS. FPS dips in explosion scenes but nothing to affect gameplay.

    Running 1 Asus 7970, Catalyst 11.12 (79xx version), Win7 x64.

Card runs stable using CCC-overdrive max values (1125 MHz core, 1575 MHz mem, +20% power-tune) without voltage tweak.
Tested with Hard Reset for about 45 min.

So far I had no problems and I am very impressed by its performance.

Very, very interesting since I'm also running two 5850s and thinking if this upgrade is viable or not (after all we're talking about a pile of money). I guess it would be too much to ask for a bench comparison between 5850CF and 7970? :)

    At 1920x1200 @ 4.2ghz standard settings I hit around 1450 on Heaven BM with 2 factory OC'd 5850's.

WOW! That's awesome, it's exactly the same performance i have with my 6990 overclocked @ 940/1400.

It's noisy the 7970 fan at that's speeds ? And load temps ?

    Thanks.

The fan is loud. But certainly not a problem for me. In gaming I usually have the speakers turned up and when benchmarking its only short term.

At 2D clocks the fan is very quiet, say below 40%.

No doubts, the card rocks so much, overkills my HD5850 CFX by far, is a meaning upgrade imo.

This is just for bench my friend.
Fan at 100% and temps near to 40c.
Maybe this http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/detail/index/sArticle/502/sCategory/2182 make things better.

Yes i understand, i just need to have an idea if i can have a 7970 running 24/7 overclocked like that, with fan in auto mode for example...
I don't mind much the noise while gaming too, i use headphones.

Thanks for the info. This card is a beast, no doubt !

any guys had 5870cf then now upgrade to 7970 as me? with 5870cf, I set 1680x1050 Ultra mode in BF3 MP Back to Kecard, except to set texture to high, turn off MSAA and Motion Blur, in this 4 maps, my 5870CF could get around 70-120fps, now with 7970 the same settings, it gets around 40-80fps, what's the ****? I use the amd_radeon_hd7900_win7_64 drv, it seems the best drv for 7970 BF3 right now.

But I have to admit that with 7970, now I can enable full ultra mode in BF3 MP with also 40-80fps , 5870CF can't do that, because the different mem capacity.

The most noticeable difference in BF3 SP, is that using 7970 I can smoothly zoom the telescope on the rifle, but with 5870CF, the zoom experience is very bad and stuttering. I think it also relate to the the different mem capacity.

As for Tessellation, 7970 beat 580, 480 in the four big loosing titles suffered by 5870cf. You can see the comparisons done by me:
