    I wonder what the vcore will be set to to actually enable that level of core clock. I have a feeling it will be somewhat higher than the "stock" vcore.

    Doesn't matter as no game within the next 18 months will ever max out your card like Heaven 2.5 does. And by the time they do there will be even more powerful cards out.

    That is a very good score. From memory I think my own GTX 580 on those settings (well, actually 1920x1200) gives an average framerate of 30-33 fps I think and a minimum of about 12 fps with my current specs. Can't remember the score though, I'll check later.

    haha.. you're right Darren, extreme tessel -> we won't see any games that utilize such high tessellation in the near future. btw, here's new score after a couple MHz bump on GPU and CPU is now at 4.5GHz. at last min FPS > 30fps :).

    Lol, thanks mate. However, in my system specs I used to have my cpu that high for benching but running at only 3.9Ghz now :) At that OC in my specs, my score would be alot higher :)

    Ragdoll,

    that was really a nice score for 2xGTX470s...however single HD7970 can also match your score.

    Got a couple of Sapphire 7970s' that will be here Friday. Going to top them off with a couple of these at the end of the month:

    http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/detail/index/sArticle/502/sCategory/2182:banana:

    I know they are expensive but you shouldn't be buying a sports car if you are worried about the price of gas.

    Will post some scores/overclocks temps with both stock and arctic coolers in Feb.:)

    Hope it kicks something.:) This should keep me happy for a couple of years or so. Thought about the 3930K but the extra two cores wasn't enough for me to pull the trigger on.

    With a couple of GTX 780s' under the hood your rig, no doubt, will be kickin' some ass too.

    I'll be selling my XFX BE 5970 with the Accelero Xtreme 5970 and 5870 with the Accelero TWIN TURBO Pro to recoup a little back.

    I just love how quiet the arctic coolers run.

    Game On:)

    Can't wait till EK comes out with the blocks. The fans get bloody loud.

    Just got them last night. Quickly messed around with it. These things crossfired is bloody amazing...i'm talking about constant 100+ FPS in 1920x1080 in BF3, everything ULTRA.

    Will most more the next couple of days. I've tried 1300mhz @ 1.3v, but having issues.

    1250 will not run for me and my powercolor with 1.25v set.
    most i can get with fan @ earplug% is 1220 for repetable runs.
    occt will pop errors at alot slower core speeds
    as for ram,1500 is good for no errors in occt and for some benches abit more np.

    not played bf3 or ss3 yet but so far so good

    lol Just been gaming and I can't believe what a difference it is going from 5850 crossfire & 24" DGM (1920x1200) screen to a single 7970 and my 27" U2711 (2560x1440).

    So I started with a modest overclock of 4GHz (HT on) BClk 191, Ram at x8 multi = 1528 timings 6-6-6-19.

    Asus 7970 at stock.

    Drivers:

    1st set direct from AMD as available (amd_radeon_hd7900_win7_64):

    Heaven 2.5 standard settings:
    1920x1080 = 1720
    2560x1440 = 1100

    12.x 8.95 Unofficial Beta:

    Heaven 2.5 standard settings:
    1920x1080 = 1711
    2560x1440 = 1093

    I noticed that between the AMD release and the unofficial beta a slight increase in minimum and max frame rates but a slight reduction over all in FPS.
