I have a Nvidia 7800GT. Is there a program or utility that can display the GPU temperature in the system tray? The Nvidia control panel shows you the GPU temperature, but it doesn't display it in the system tray.

I have Speedfan, which can display the CPU, mobo, and hard drive temps in the system tray, but it doesn't track GPU temperatures.

Does anyone know of a program that allows you to see the video card GPU temperature in the system tray?

  3. Umm im not sure, but i think ATi tool minimizes to tray. Ati tool will still work with Nvidia cards i believe. You could even try powerstrip, that might also work.

    heres the link for powerstrip:

Thanks for the links! I'll download and give them a try. :)

BTW, I already have Rivatuner. How do I display the GPU temps on the system tray using Rivatuner?

    - open rivatuner.
    - under the adapter section at the top, click the customize arrow to get the pull out.
    - click on the icon that looks like a magnifying glass over filmstrip. (hardware monitoring)
    - at the bottom click the check box next to core temp, then click the setup button below.
    - towards the middle there is a check box to show temp in the tray icon. (you can also change the color below it)

back at the main window on the settings tab, you can click the checkbox to send to the tray on close, that way it will run in the background... and if you want there is the checkbox to run at startup...

there is a way to do this with the statistics server, but I don't remember how to set that up off hand...

    Hope that helps :)

That worked great. I didn't know it had that capability in there. Thanks. :)

Nvidia has integrated temperature logging in theirs drivers but it may reduce performance so I would use it as testing purpose only, Rivatuner is good (best) for loggin.
