    Indeed but it is horrible for navigation at night, especially if you're being pursued by some volatiles finding the entrance to some of the safe zones is a little less than obvious and if you don't have the roll to save yourself from high drops then you are gonna die a lot. Oh and those screaming zombie kids are by far the freakiest f*cking thing I have seen in quite a while.

    Dark lames? I remember that game. Too old school for Mr. Lot.
    Shame mods.

    My wife came to my room and asked if what is that crying sound. And showed her the crying kid zombie. Both sad and freaking.

    And what the heck those zombie statues.

    For those with the horsepower, here are my settings for 8K shadows and High Audio Fidelity. It seems the game can accept some extreme settings with a few tweaks.

    For 8K Shadows:

    1. Navigate to C:\Users\....Documents\DyingLight\out\settings

    2. Open Notepad

    3. Drag and Drop video.scr into Notepad.

    4. Under the "ShadowMapSize" and "SpotShadowMapSize" change the value in the brackets to (8192)

    5. Save and exit.

    For High Audio Fidelity:

    1. Navigate to C:\Users\....Documents\DyingLight\out\settings

    2. Open Notepad

    3. Drag and Drop audio.scr into Notepad.

    4. Copy and Paste the Following:

    PHP:
    !API(s)            // aDS3D, aOpenAL, aXACT, XAudio2, FMOD, NoSound
    !MixFrequency(i)
    !
    Channels(i)
    !
    ForceSoftware()
    !
    ForceSoftwareEAX()
    !
    ForceNoFXes()
    !
    Quality3D(s)      // low, medium, high
    !UseEAX()
    !
    ExtraSounds01()
    !
    SpeechVolume(i)
    !
    FXVolume(i)
    !
    WaveVolume(i//music
    !MaxVolume(i)
    !
    MovieVolume(i)
    !
    MovieVolumeSource(i)
    !
    GlobalSettings(s)
    !
    ReverbChannels(i)
    !
    DebugMode()

    !
    MixerBlocksCount(i)

    API("aDS3D")
    MixFrequency(96000)
    Channels(128)
    Quality3D("high")
    MaxVolume(40)
    FXVolume(40)
    WaveVolume(40)
    SpeechVolume(40)
    MovieVolume(40)
    MovieVolumeSource(0)
    GlobalSettings("")
    ReverbChannels(1)
    MixerBlocksCount(1)
    5. Save and exit.

    Now watch your frames tank! Enjoy :banana:

    35 hours into the game with the storyline 53% complete, I am very much enjoying this rough diamond of a game. The more I play this game, the more I am rewarded (in terms of better abilities, skills and weapons) which in turns make me want to play it more. It's a winning formula and the game has just enough variety to keep things interesting and addictive even with the repetitive fetch quests. And just when I was starting to get bored of the Slum area, the game introduces me to a new one, Sector 0 or Old Town, with much taller building and completely different architecture.

    My only real bugbear with it is how easy it is to die, whether overwhelmed by zombies, made weaponless for a boss fight or walking into one of those annoying exploding zombies unexpectedly (sometimes behind a medium difficulty locked door...grrrrrrrr!!!). I have lost at least 32,000 Survivor points (could be much more as I've died 60 times!!!) and what is galling is that there is no points penalty for dying during the night (something I did not realise until I read it on a forum). In fact, it might actually be better to avoid the daytime and play the game at night for that reason! Sure, it is easier to get killed but safe houses are plentiful so it is not difficult to run to one and if you die, well there's no risk at all except for being placed back at the last one (which act as a checkpoint). You also get double Agility and Power points too.

    Great game...could possibly have looked a bit better graphically (especially with the high system requirements to run it maxed out) and still a bit buggy (twice yesterday, I got low memory warnings on my PC...with 16 GB of memory with the second warning booting me out of the game completely...sure, the pagefile was disabled but no game in 2014 should ever use 16 GB of memory unless it has a memory leak!!!). I'd still give this a solid 8 out of 10 so far though.

    I really liked the story, even the ending. And yes, those screaming baby zombie things are insanely unnerving. But after the third one they don't bother me much anymore. I was reminded of the baby things from Doom 3.

    This game is pretty dope, I bought Shadow of Morder last night so once I'm done with this one I'll be hopping over to that one. Hopefully it's badass.

    What are the max levels?
    I know I'm a long ways off from hitting them, but curious as to how much more I can grow the character.

    Is it one of those games were you get enough to unlock every skill, or will some be left untouched when you're maxed?
