Well, I have just upgraded the memory to 8GB DDR3-1600 and gotten the Gigabyte GTX 960 OC with 2GB of memory. Installing Dying Light now and see how it goes. I'll probably get the rest of the upgrade in a few weeks then I should be good.

Just had a small update today when i logged in.

EDIT: Just fired the game up and got the first time setup, was just the MS Visual C redist.

 

Yeah they push that MS Visual C Redist on a lot of Steam games, I had 7 games with a 12.8 MB update today...

Can't wait for the mods that will be created with the modding tools, since there are some good ones already available without them, and the game has a solid base for further improvements... Why not for example third person view mode, new zombie types, better character customization, overpowered and funny weapons, new locations, and more of that ? Let Dying Light be as moddable as Skyrim and it will again be played in several years. :look:

As I said in another thread this idea of having separate folders holding VC++ and DirectX folders for each game is an utter waste of hard drive space IMO; I have over 555 games installed, most (I'd say around 400 at least) of which have the same 100-120 MB DirectX/VC++ libraries so you work out how much space they use? I had 54 of my games update last night to add what appears to be VC++ 2012 64-bit libraries; the files were either 12.8 MB or 15.4 MB. I half expected to wake up this morning and find all the others had also updated.

 

i am max level at fighting. agility at 21.

and just entered new map last night. that map looks..soo...boring but don't know..a city? looks like Venice and Turkish style?

 

Yeah I just got to that map as well, glad that the sewer section didn;t go on and on like it did in DI. I am willing to give this map the benefit of the doubt and see what's what.

I just unlocked the Grappling Hook the other night.
Been running around just trying it out. Definitely makes getting around WAY quicker.

I'm about 16 hours into the game and according to the game... only about 20% into the story.
I'm currently trying to do a side quest to get UV bulbs off the bridge, but... I missed a ledge while climbing up the bridge and died. So... decided to give it a rest for the evening.
Going to do it today. Probably head to the bridge during day light, so I can be there when it turns night to get the bulbs.

 

No silencer. Shame. And no bullet proof vest. Shame.

Wish there are more weapons. And mods for them. Why not.
Helped that weapon smith to expect new weapons and mods. But only shame sht. Damn.

 

Thinking of buying this, is it worth the money?

On another note, i think the engine fits S.T.A.L.K.E.R so much!
