Developers Techland have a new open world based zombie game set for release in 2014 that mixes free running and zombie killing...

    Awesome. :)
I'm always up for zombies. When done right, and after the Dead Island games... I'm definitely up for this.

I love the concept, and I'm a fan of Techland. So... I'm on board.

I can see how some have zombie burnout but this isn't slated for release until 2014. I'm looking forward to seeing how this comes out. Expectations will be kept in check. Screenshots look amazing though.

Bah, I'm still pissed at Techland for never finishing Chrome 2. I say this realizing that I might be the only person in the world who liked the first Chrome (Chrome: Spec Force was crap though).

Sounds more like Dead Island 3 a.k.a. Dead City to me. Hardly an original concept and no doubt coming from Techland it'll be rough as hell but their games have a knack of still being enjoyable to play in spite of the bugs and lack of polish.

^^Yep, they do some great games but the stutter and other bugs just kill the experience for me to the point that I cant stand playing them.

It's the 'free-running like Mirrors Edge' that grabbed my attention. If that's done right it could make for a very interesting game.

You are not alone. Chrome 1 was and still is one of my favourite shooter experiences of old (along with Chaser and Project IGI) as it gave you a feeling of player choice which I loved and was very unique at the time. When they first announced Chrome 2 I honestly couldn't have been happier but hen it just disappeared never to be heard of ever again. I don't understand why they would just abandon such a great IP that was only just finding its feet like that. I think it was first due to out in 2007. :3eyes:

It already looked pretty impressive technically way back when

Anyhow I am looking forward to this game but I do wish Techland would move on to something very different once they have zombie games out of their system.

Yep, not bad at all. Especially the part where it is night and very dark, could be a pretty scary atmosphere if done right.

Now that looks next gen. The combat still looks a bit dead island clunky but other than that, what was shown looks solid. Curious about crafting/weapons and other gameplay features now.
