DAAAAAAAAAAAMN these things are getting fast baby!

My Sabrent rockets 4.0 edition are starting to look like they're yesterday's news.

Now if the price points could taper back a little it would be even more epic sauce to go with the performance....

Do we have use in gaming for such a fast storage? You'll never get instant loading despite how fast your drive is.

Maybe in the future when games are made with game engines that make use of the fast storage. Unreal Engine 5 for example is apparently taking advantage of the fast ssd speeds of the XBSX/S and PS5 which will help us PC players as well but it's not out yet. There's also RTX IO/DirectStorage coming soonish.

The 1TB drive is reasonably priced for what you're getting. For the same price, you can get a good SATA 2TB drive, but would get decimated in benchmarks. So the way I see it, you can either get blazing fast speeds, or, double the capacity. That's a fair tradeoff to me.

The 2TB drive is a bit much though haha.

Anybody know what type of flash these things use? TeamGroup fails to mention anything on their product website about this.

I'll take four and replace my Sabrent rockets in my AIC.

    MMMMMMMMMM them speeds baby!!

Have been waiting for years for software development to take advantage of crazy fast memory/storage.

Wondering why a game can't load itself all into memory if the memory is there.

I get it that games aren't developed that way, but my goodness if a game was loaded completely into memory there would be "zero" load times right?!?

I mean 128gb of RAM would surely allow at least half of the games' assets to be loaded and available if most games are considered today.

Waiting for the new systems to aide in this endeavor as that was supposed to be the ultimate idea so the developers say.
