We'll be taking over the #46 spot in just a few hours.
Team Guru3D Is Now 46th
We took spot 46 just a short time ago.
Congrats everyone and thanks for all your hard work.
That's excellent team work
Keep it up fellow Gurus
congrats to the next one!!!
Awesome news, our 24hrs avg PPD has also risen since last time: 2,245,102
We still need more folders
We always have room, and a need, for more folders on the team.
We recently fell from #45 back to #46.....
that pass had been coming for a long time
Looks like we might be losing another spot in the next month or so.
Curecoin has a lot more active folders than we do and is projected to pass us in the next few weeks.
If I'm off this weekend, I might pickup an R5 230. That should be good for around 15K PPD. It's not much, but all I have that's not already folding is my HTPC and that poor APU don't fold....lol.
Every bit helps, sykozis! Regarding the APU, I have read mixed posts, some donors can fold on it without any issues while others can't fold on it. Not sure why that is.
Currently, I am testing out experimental ocores stuff (new type of FahCore) so my entire system (worth about 100K PPD) isn't generating any points.
Appears I'll be working this weekend. I can pickup a low profile R7 240 for about $85 so may go that route. The recommended PSU is 450watts whereas my HTPC only has a 300watt unit. It's only running an A4-5300 so power shouldn't be an issue. Total system draw right now is only around 100watts at full load so I don't think 175watts is really asking too much.
That's very generous of you. Fwiw, the R7 240 is supposed to be very frugal with its power usage. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r7-240-and-250,3717.html
If that THG article is accurate, then that recommendation of 450watts by XFX is a joke. THG was testing with a more power hungry system than my HTPC.
Bah my 2nd 7970 is just sitting there looking pretty with its waterblock on, waiting to be installed. That's 110K PPD gone for about 2 weeks at least...
I'll be back, I promise Had finals!
We need your PPD man.... I'm right around 95-100K PPD if I run SMP4 and GPU together.
I can run my 7950 24/7 but the wife complains if I run the CPU long enough to heat up cuz of the fan noise. I stop the 7950 for a couple hours every few days to let the VRM's cool a bit, but aside from that it's been running 24/7 since I got my system back up. The VRM's don't appear to be exceeding 70C so I really should be good to run 24/7 with no break but I'm a bit paranoid.
how much does a 7970 do pd wise 110ppd?
It should. My 7950 is doing 95K PPD....although, I am running my GPU at 1100mhz instead of it's stock 840mhz. I'm sure he's overclocked as well though.
look like we will drop again in a few days Curecoin are doing 200millon a day
Yeah. We're down to 47 again now.
Some of those CureCoin guys have more than 100 slots going.
I miss the days when I had an office job and installed it on everyone's PC in my office. Now I'm only good for this one little puter of mine.
