So as of late I been wonder why i keep lose 1-2gb of space, I then realized system restore seem to get re enabled every time I reboot my pc, and back made every time windows updates go threw.

I have use system restore a hand full of time and most time if fix one thing and mucked up something else. so general disable upon installs of windows, but for some reason now it just keep get renable what is causing this? and how can stop it from re enabling?

even tried disabling it via gpedit and while the system restore page says it disabled and everything is ghosted out, it still winds up "on" for system disk , stay off for the data disc though

Switch it off via Task Scheduler in Microsft\Sytem Restore branch

it is disabled there, but like said every reboot just put it "on" for system disk and sooner or later it makes back up
