This is a very charming and attractive title. Well implemented Ray Tracing effects and nice visuals. This is another title that somewhat looks like a Pixar film in certain aspects. Be warned! All PC's will receive body blows and knockout punches in regards to performance. DLSS is a must. It is indeed a very beautiful game.
I installed the latest update and it totally decreased graphic fidelity. I could immediately see the difference and it is so disappointing. The water caustics are toned down. The pillars in the Tianshi Sect no longer have water reflections on them. The lighting looks flat. The depth of Raytracing, shadows, colors and possibly ambient occlusion was nerfed considerably. There were times the characters looked as if they belong in a Pixar film. That layer of graphic fidelity is now gone. The game is not as beautiful as it once was. There has to be a way to reverse this. The lighting depth, colors and raytracing richness of the Xian Xia Sect has decreased. The game has lost its graphic luster. Noooooo! I made the same post in the Steam forums for Sword and Fairy. I truly hope they review my post and make changes. A few other users have reported this as well. I'm going to check my other PC to see if the update did not install. I hope it didn't. Is there a way to reverse this update? If I uninstall and reinstall through Steam it will install this borked version.
The new DLC take the graphics up another level. The textures are more detailed and the lighting + shaders looks fantastic. The RTX effects really shine in the DLC. Absolutely gorgeous looking game. Softstar did a great job with the visuals. My 4090 is sweating with the graphics at full blast. You and I have practically the same framerates. I decided to keep my RTX on Super and DLSS on Quality @4k. The 4090 is putting up a tough fight but I do see a few dips LOL! ****UPDATE**** It looks like DLSS isn't working. I do not see a framerate increase when I change to performance.
Why isn't this game reviewed ? On metacritic there is only 1 review OMG! It is a pretty decent game and deserves way more attention i think.
Which version of DLSS are you using? Do you see a big difference between DX11 and DX12 in regard to framerates and visuals? I'm using DLSS 2.5.1 but I may go back to the default. 2.5.1 is awesome for the regular campaign so I immediately replaced the default file 2.3.2. I'm going to revert back to the original to look for differences. Sheeeeesh man! We've only had our 4090s over 4 months and they're already being crippled. The character models in this game definitely have the Pixar look to them. Last question. Best visuals and game between Sword and Fairy 7 or Kena Bridge of Spirits?
DLSS that came with the game which should be 2.3.2, visuals are better in DX12 thanks to RT which can be set to super high (cinematic quality) but performance goes to DX11, smoother by a lot, one thing to mention the DLC is worse in performance in DX12 while the main game is smoother but not perfect, the DLC got a separate folder, exe and must be launched from Steam directly
Hi Guru, Yes I know due to having the game. I was just curious as to what versions of DLSS you prefer in regard to visuals and which game you feel is better between Sword & Fairy 7 and Kena Bridge of Sprits? I gotta roll with Sword and Fairy 7. The combat is what gives it the edge in my opinion. The Taro storyline within Kena was indeed extremely cool.
