Did you look here for an email or email(s): http://www.iryoku.com/smaa/?

Cause I did and on that page right at the top they list the 4 devs emails of that.

Goddamn I miss FRAPS for capturing SweetFX images... Anyway.

What is everyone using to resize pictures and convert format? I don't know why but I'm resizing pictures that are 2560x1600, MSAA + SMAA and yet when I resize them under paint, they appear jagged like hell. -_-

I use Irfanview (sometimes with the RIOT plugin) to convert and resize and then ScriptPNG / ScriptJPG to optimize them (although they can convert them too).

    Isn't InjectSMAA's developer Andrej Dudenhefner?

    On http://www.iryoku.com/smaa/:
November 30, 2011: Andrej Dudenhefner released a SMAA 1x Injector! Kudos to Andrej.

Even the link below says "Andrej Dudenhefner's SMAA Injector".

Maybe just a tad too colorful ? :)

You're boosting colors both with HDR , DPX and you have Vibrance set to 1.00 which is a very extreme setting.
Also why enable the Tonemap shader when all your tonemap settings are neutral and doesn't make changes to the image. That is only going to reduce your framerate and do nothing else.

    Yes it is.
    Mr Haandi is Andrej Dudenhefner.

It's him I'm looking to contact.

Tonemap is on to boost the shadows in the game(s). + with Dead Island I use tonemap to lower the overall exposure of the game. It looks as is:

Not really any other reason to use it tho.

  13. To lower the exposure? It seems like in fact it's raised up to heaven. Picture looks overbrighten and way too colorful.

Yeah, it looks awful. Extremely grainy. Are you sharpening to high heaven as well? Also desperately needs AA.

To PROPERLY enhance shadows, you need to lower the shadow settings in LiftGammaGain. That will REALLY bring out your shadows, depending on how much you lower it. I've gone as low as 0.940 for all 3 values.

If you want to make the game overall darker, use the middle values (gamma). Changing "gain" will obviously increase the brighter aspects of your image, particularly lighting.

LiftGammaGain is a lot like levels in photoshop, which I think is probably the best feature ever added to SweetFX. Before that, I tried to use a combination of gamma\exposure to enhance contrast but it was always a subpar solution.

    Have you played Dead Island?

Here is a screeny of the same place in the game sept this time without SweetFX & instead only everything ingame is set to max:

& here is another screeny with the splitscreen filter on for you to have a better comparison.

  18. Yes, I did, and I have played with my own SFX settings. And here I definitely prefer the left, unchanged part. The sand on the right lost its details. Shadows are rough, part of the ball became white completely, losing details as well.

Still, this all is a matter of personal preferences. Though as you have posted shots here for discussion, you get opinions.

I'd rather make the picture more dark and gloomy than to brighten it even more it is by default.

If you look at the splitscreenshot you can clearly see the left is brighter overall than the right.

Its also greyer + foggier + blurrier. So I guess if I liked to make my game an overall single color effect and to blur and fog over things then I would chose the original game's look too.

But since I dont like my games to be that blurry or single colored or foggied up or that bright I will go with the right imo.

As all have stated tho. These are opinions & I will respect all.
