The list misses the most important one: ReShade features its very own effect/shader compiler, which parses a language derived from HLSL (but with a bunch of custom features and additions) and translates it back into HLSL shadermodel 3-5 or GLSL 4.3. Quite useful when working with Direct3D and OpenGL at the same time =)

I can feel my my mind roaming far, I can hardly be held in place. What does one have to do to be a beta tester?

    Sweet news!
Congratulations CeeJay and Crosire, you guys deserve a truck full of candies!

( I would not recommend entering in one, though).

    Can't wait for open beta.
I have some OpenGL games on my Steam account, if you guys ever need some testing let me know.:)

All of this is awesome news! I basically use sweet FX on everything now and I've gotten real good at making my own presets (and sharing them).

CeeJay.dk replied to me on a PC Gamer post a couple months ago saying that, along with a new hook, there is a sweet FX 1.6 in development which will work with Radeon Pro. I don't know if it still stands true or not (couldn't read all previous post), but as an everyday user of this combination (Win 8.1 obliged), I would just like to report that what I noticed is that the Cineon DPX is the one that is the most troubling feature, as the fields "GreenC" "BlueC" and "RedC" cannot be modified and always stay at 0.20, which in turn makes the usage of presets using DPX a hassle.

I am perfectly aware that this issue is related to Radeon Pro and not Sweet FX, as the Cineon DPX in SweetFX 1.4 works perfectly when not using Radeon Pro (which is only an option on DX9-10), and I am only reporting this just in case it might help development of Sweetfx 1.6, this is not a complain by any means!

But feel free to discard that info if the main focus is all on the new hook now (which would make sense)! Cheers!

I'm working on SweetFX 1.6 right now .. hopefully it will be ready soon, as it would be a good base for SweetFX 2.0 to build on

Some people have already noticed, but not all know that I sometimes write about the SweetFX/ReShade progress as well as other coding related stuff on my Twitter account : https://twitter.com/CeeJayDK

this is epic news sir. Thank you very much, take a bow. It's so frustrating getting sweetfx working on Windows 8.1, it can be a real bake with 64bit exe

ReShade is mainly designed to be a shader injector only: simplifies code and allows certain optimizations.
While these things are possible to add, they are only valid for certain games and APIs. Direct3D10+ doesn't have a fixed function pipeline, so it's impossible to disable lightning in general (same applies to Direct3D8/9 games which are shader-based), software-rendering isn't something which can be forced in OpenGL and the list goes on...
Some of these may be implemented in the future if I change my mind, but I'll stick to current plans for now. =)
