Just to be clear, does SweetFX 1.5.1 work with Windows 8.1 (32-bit applications)? Not including any additional shaders or anything - just SweetFX and what comes included.

TXAA was awesome in Assassin's Creed 3, i think its just how they implement it. Also screenshots wont always show how good it is, since its main purpose is to smooth out temporal aliasing.

In Batman AO, the TXAA high seems alot better than TXAA low, from what i have seen. My main issue with the game is im on win8.1 and i cant use sweetfx/efx to apply defog to it. Game is just a dark grey mess, lol.

Hello, I read the readme efx and I followed all the steps but do not work or for black ops 2 nor for assassins creed 3.

Sorry I do not want to bother, but this is desperate, with win eight I was happy :-(

If you ask like that, Downsampling/Supersampling + SMAA :)

If you can't get SSAA/Downsampling, use SMAA or FXAA+Lumasharpen.

Supersampling/Downsampling are way too costy :D

but how do I configure the best Lumasharpen setting?

Well, you can tell it's too much if the game is oversharpened.

There is non "good for everything" setting. Some games need more Lumasharpen, others don't.

Can you tell us more about it ? screenshots ? Looking at the comments in the code I'd say it mimics the 8bits console dithering ?

=( I want to finish my game of Sleeping Dogs on Win 8.1 DX11 with SweetFX. I can't play the game anymore without SweetFX, everything looks like crap without it.

I also wanna know more about it. I added it to your injector Boulotaur, and that's what i got (here is the normal picture). Don't really know what it's supposed to do.

Compare SMAA and TXAA in games like Crysis 3 and ACIII. TXAA+Sharpening is much better than SMAA (with almost no shimmer). Higher performance cost, though.

It attempts to recreate the 3dfx Voodoo Graphics' 4x1 DAC-based filter effect in addition to simple dithering and 16bpp color reduction (since 3dfx dealt with 24-bit output dithered down to 16-bit for the framebuffer memory, then filtered up to 24-bit attempting to smooth the dithering).

It's not perfect (needs work on the dithering) and is only effective in low resolutions such as 640x480 and 800x600.
