Awesome! I hope CeeJay will start soon with porting his shaders to Crosires injector.
Can't wait to try it out in some OGL games :)

    Hello everyone,

I have a quick question for the pro Sweet FX! : D
It is some time I use this little tweak very nice with preset available on the net.

The problem I just noticed for the DX9 games! I noticed that the images were very dark on DX9 games.
I thought it came from the profile. But no!

Let me explain. I changed the preset set to 0. Normally, the image must be the same as no filter is made. Tested under DX11 games, OK image remains the same when I turn off and Sweet FX.
But DX9 games are always very dark even with all the options to 0!

Someone an idea? I do not really understand ... I tested with Sweet FX 1.5 and 1.4, the problem remains the same. : (

PS : sorry for my bad english!

I found the problem. It was my Sweet FX that was not good.
I found a 1.4 version that does not have this problem.
For Windows 8.1 and RadeonPro, what is the latest working version?

Edit : found version 1.5.1 compatible W8.1 and RadeonPro. Thx. :)

How well does this do with jaggies using smaa now? i used to use the 1.02 version on borderlands and i loved it, but after i wiped my hd i forgot about Sweetfx lol.

whats the performance hit like on smaa?

Just wondering does Dither do something about gradients already in the game now?
I think the author was gonna add something like that when i asked about it some time ago.

Like for example, have it add noise where gradients are (through some detection) then dither that, making it "look good".

Cause some games have very ugly gradients sadly, Dead Space 2 (at least at the beginning) is full of it, really ruining the atmosphere.

    Thanks

CeeJay made improvements to the SMAA code that makes it faster and take even less of a performance hit, I haven't actually tested the hit myself but then I've never had performance issues. Read quote below:

No, dither still only affects the effects used.

I see, to bad, but it´s a complicated way to put it to work i guess. Hopefully it will come at some point, it will surely work wonders on those games that have these problems.

I never had access to Kukkimonsuta work, the only source code I got inspired from was DSFix by Durante. And yeah sorry I've been busy lately with real life -job related mainly- issues. I did give access to the source-code to Crosire though I don't know if it turned out useful for him but... eFX is the future now I guess : )

Good to hear from you again Boulotaur. Hopefully everything is back to normal for you now.
And yes, hopefully it is. An all-in-one injector sound just so delicious.

Does anybody know what files from eFX2.0 should be renamed to what for usage on Pro evolution soccer 2014? I have windows 8.1 and it gave me some d3d11.dll errors when i was starting it (don't want RadeonPro method). but now that eFX is out it should work. The instructions are not very clear though,at least not to me. athough the error was about d3d11 the game clearly uses d3d9 (Msi afterburner says so). so from eFX package what should be renamed to what to make it compatible with Ceejay.dk's SweetFX?

After SweetFX gets combined with eFX, I think this project could be something much better. You know like an Universal Game Enhancer, exclusive to PC. I don't know it's up to CeeJay.dk of course but something like that has lots of potential. Not just simple post-processing effects but more complex things.

*sniff* *sniff* I smell money. :D

Also I have a question: Is it possible to do motion interpolation via shaders? Or by any other means? It's possible for videos via AviSynth/SVP. Maybe something similar could be made for video games as well. It could be an alternative vertical sync method. Instead of real frame drops, the frame would be interpolated to monitor refresh rate. So as an advantage you would get constant, stable frame rate and as a disadvantage of course would get some artifacts.

It is an alpha of an injector. It does not come with any shaders yet (though you can easily write some to test with), so don't expect to see SweetFX magic just by putting eFX in your game folder.

Is CS:GO broken with SweetFX as if the latest patch update? The game doesn't run if d3d9.dll is present in /bin.
