    I can't quite put my finger on why this thing looks so cheap. I think it's the logo on the left-hand side.

    I think it’s the supermicro logo font, they haven’t changed it (ever?) and it does look dated.

    I haven’t seen 8x/8x/8x/8x on a mainstream board in ages. Quad SLI anyone? :p

    considering plx bridges are basically broken on current nvidia drivers, i'd say nope.

    Long time not seeing a board with a plx chip, it could be good for 3D rendering using octane. Definetly that superO logo have a dated font.
