I got a new bike. I'll be taking that out for rides in the country and to get back a forward to work. Also going to be walking in the Peak District and Wales hopefully.

It's a hybrid as I will be going between road and light use off road.

Yeah I got a Specialized hybrid, wishing I'd gotten more of a road bike though, don't plan on taking on too many unpaved surfaces. With some drop handlebar ends or bullhorns or something, I could get a good position at least.

I was supposed to be doing my Army reserves, but I canceled it this year because of school studies. I was looking forward to the reserves :(

A few years ago I wanted to join the National Guard.I had active duty, so I was still eligible.I talked myself out of it because I was all but guaranteed a very long deployment, and didn't want to be away from my daughter.
I've regretted not going back.I wish the active time was a bit shorter for vol's, but it is what it is.Just sayin; if it's in your heart, then go with the reserves. You'll always feel bad if you want to, but don't.

I'm already in the reserves, just this year I couldn't go for deployment due to my having exams two days after the end of reserves.

Living it up till I go to Navy bootcamp in October. Too bad I work a crappy job, but it's not like I have to stress over it.

Not looking forward to being called "Gramps" in the military....but I gotta say, since I've been working with younger people, I feel energized again.
