Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League [2024]

The gameplay footage for this looks so disappointing.
I had been on the fence about it, but the Batman trailer gave me hope.

But, this new footage completely killed any hope I had.
Seems this is not the same Rocksteady that I loved for their Arkham games.

 

RIP Rocksteady. Ye were once great.

 

I watched DF video and they felt completely betrayed by Rocksteady. I gotta say I feel the same. Rocksteady used to make genre defining games and now they are making generic online shooty looty garbage with pink weak points and everyone jumping around with neon colored assault rifles.

 

The rumor is that there will be six types of in-game currencies

 

It's just another Game as a Service, that only cares about extracting money from gamers.
How did Rocksteady spend nearly a decade to make this crap? A studio that made some of the best adventure games of it's time, to making a generic looter shooter.

 

"every character has their own abilities and weapons"

Gameplay footage shows every character jumping, gliding around... shooting spongy enemies.

 

I have been playing games for 50 years (1972)from memory til now.I thought this game looked good with the first videos I watched.
My thing is people putting down Rocksteady ,I can not remember any games by them I actually finished and said that was an awesome game.
What are some of these great games by Rocksteady and who on this site can make any game better then Rocksteady.

 

And, that's fine. Everyone is allowed their opinion, and not everyone is going to like/love/enjoy what Rocksteady does.

But, I loved the Arkham series. Every game.
Have replayed each multiple times and enjoy them more and more each time.

But, to me, the only thing Suicide Squad looks to continue is their level of quality when it comes to visuals and art direction.
Gameplay and general design, and even writing seems to have taken a step down since the last Arkham title.

 

For a fleeting moment a looter shooter by Rocksteady had me excited.

Then I woke up...

 

I think it will be quite fun to watch the youtube version.. the cutscenes look really good.

 

Suicide Squad being delayed to Q4 2023

Warner Bros and Rocksteady have delayed Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League once again, from May to later this year, according to a person familiar. A showcase of the game during a PlayStation stream last month was poorly received by fans

For what it's worth, a delay like this is mainly for polish, not to overhaul the core gameplay that caused the backlash. Suicide Squad started off as a Game as a Service and will remain one short of a complete reboot, which would require a much longer delay

 

With recurrent monetization schemes the only polish they really get is the store and how the user interacts with it.... everything outside of it should be considered as a funnel into the store.

 

Mehhh, just cancel it and start working on a new Arkham game.

 

If this is their idea for the next entry in the Arkham universe, I don't really want them to make another Arkham game.

 

The founders of Rocksteady already abandoned the Studio. And probably other talent.
This is no longer the Rocksteady that made the Arkham games we loved.

 

Officially delayed into 2024...

 

Rocksteady will truly cement themselves as the greatest developer of all time, if they manage to fully remake this pos in a year

 

At this point, they are just polishing a turd.
