Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League [2024]

That was an awesome trailer.

 

Looks good.

 

More interested in seeing gameplay.

 

I'd definitely appreciate gameplay trailer much more, because these 4 "main heroes" indicate some form of multiplayer-focused gameplay... hopefully not.

Anyway, Rocksteady has gone completely silent since Arkham Knight so I assume this game has been in development for quite a long time... probably since 2016. Fingers crossed the game won't be affected by covid and releases in a good shape.

 

Brainiac puts the Justice League under mind control and uses them to destroy/take over Earth so Amanda Waller tasks the Suicide Squad with taking out the Justice League.

This actually looks and feels well made, and dare I say it, fun?

 

So this is where Rocksteady went to! I didn't pay too much attention to who was developing this game and Gotham Knights.

Now, this is the DC game we should be looking forward to.

 

My interest was on Gotham Knights because I love Arkham Origins, and it's developed by the same studio.

I was interested in what Rocksteady were doing next, until it was announced.
I am a huge Batman fan, but, I don't really care for the rest of the DC universe... at all. And, what little they've shown of this game... has done nothing to get me interested in it.

 

Rocksteady Studios co-founders anounced that they are leaving the company by this year's end.

When I see founders leaving their studio, makes me wonder if they are just caching out, before something bad.
Great studios like Blizzard and Rockstar went to crap after the original creators left the company.

Really depends if they managed to transmit the firm values, and if they'll prosper beyond them.

 

It's mostly because they are tired or their interests shift elsewhere. It happens, people evolve and nobody wants to do the same thing their whole life. This rarely means that the company is on a collision course.

 

Not always.
It can be an early sign of problems brewing inside.
I wouldn't say "rarely"... it's not always a sign that things are going down a bad path. But, it's not good to see the studio leads leave in the middle of development of a big title.

Had they left after Arkham Knights' release, or after Suicide Squad released...
But, during SS's development..

 

Turns out this is a GAAS.

sigh..... all my interest... poof..

 

Seems that publishers don't talk to each other, do their research or learn from previous title's failures with GaaS (Avengers for one, massive fail). I anticipate the game will be the usual, Rocksteady pedigree but will be tarnished with ill-judged MTX bollocks.

 

I just realized... this game is basically Fortnite with cutscenes.
