Nice addition, but I hope they add a proper lobby and spectator mode for online play. Anyway, PC release date is finally being announced this Friday, hopefully it won't be too long, ie. June or sooner!

PC version will be released Thursday 2nd July in Japan for 7340¥ (£50 :O ? Glad I have mine on preorder for £17.99 ). It doesn't say a release date for the rest of the world.

Oh well, already waited 3 months, another 2 won't make any difference :/

Heh, didn't think this would be destined for steam. No doubt they'll charge top dollar for it on there. Not that I'd ever use steam for anything, given the choice. :)

I got SFIV on preorder from amazon for £17.99, bargain and I'll even get a box and manual with it :D

The indian guy with the 2 axes was from Killer Instinct for the Ultra 64 later renamed N64

the skeleton in the game was supposed to be his brother.

I am suprised they let that franchise die out,Killer Instinct was awesome.

I can not wait for SF4.

    Got my SFIV pre-order, £19 from amazon.co.uk

Been waiting about 10 years for this game, another 3 months wont kill me ;)

If it does become available on Steam, would it be possible to integrate my non-Steam version into it a bit like UT3?

No, capcom have said that Retail and Steam versions wil be seperate.

The Steam version will use Steam's DRM and the retail version will use SecuROM.

Online play is on "Games For Windows Live" and a Games For Windows key will be required for online play for both steam and retail.

Edit : They also confirmed global online play between PC players, so we won't be limited to players in the same region. :D

That fightpad is a great way to get people to actually buy this game instead of just downloading it!

I really hope it sells well - could bring other fighting game developers round to the idea of developing for PC. I'll definitely be buying this.

As for the fight pad, that dpad looks horrible . Will stick to my joystick :nerd:.

That joystick looks awful! For Street Fighter you want something like this :

Hori Real Arcade Pro 2, uses arcade sanwa stick and hori buttons.

    Or

Virtua Stick High Grade, uses Sanwa stick and buttons, same as on the virtua fighter cabs.
    [IMG] :D

The fightpad is great though for casual players and is far better than using keyboard or a 360 pad. Great move on Capcoms part, now the one's that whinge you can't play fighting games on PC have no excuse :p

Edit : Looks like that bundle is for USA only. If you live elsewhere though you can still get it from Capcom's online store, I've just ordered mine, came to $70 including shipping to UK, but it's almost impossible to get a fightpad on it's own for less than £60 so that bundle is a bargain.
