I was reading the piracy thread and it had me thinking about 2 things. 1. Is watching streaming movies from a website considered piracy? ( ex. letmewatchthis.com) and 2. also, would downloading television shows like family guy (seeing as this show is free to watch on tv already) would be considered piracy? i DONT want to start a flaming battle or anything im just curious of your input.:)

Streaming movies yes and depending on your jurisdiction, downloading TV shows may or may not be illegal.

However, if there are content providers who offer this for free and has licenses to stream movies and/or TV shows legally, then no, it's perfectly legal. In the States, you've got Hulu. In Canada, we have Rogers on Demand Online and Bell TV Online.
