I'm getting something very strange once in a while. The entire map becomes black, including other players, and the only way to fix it is to leave the game and try to play again. Is this related to the drivers, the server, or something intended for server admins to do? Here are some screenshots of what I'm sometimes getting: What the hell is going on? It's not any graphical setting because the same settings produce games that are perfectly fine. Tehran Highway is not normally this dark. It's not possible to kill anything like this. Is this the corrupted shadows some people are getting?
Happen to me, few times, on the same map, when running on ultra. Not that much black tho... only some ground textures .. I guess the PC was running out of graphics memory.
I don't think my problem is related to the amount of graphics memory, though. I have played this map before and it was perfectly fine. Quite laggy with 64 people, though. The blackness seems to happen randomly, and on random maps.
It does seem to be happening on certain servers. I joined a server my friend was on several times, and every time I joined I got this blackness everywhere. Before that I came from a server with absolutely no issues. What the hell is going on?
Stop drinking while playing...:banana: Several have commented on this or similar graphical issues using the GTX 560Ti. I personally while running on the max game settings with 580's, have never experienced this.
I think it's the 285.62 drivers or something. It has to do with your msAA. When I turn it off in-game, the dark/black turns back to normal. It only happens randomly too. My friend who still has the previous driver doesn't have this bug.
You're right. I turned MSAA off and bumped up post processing AA which I think is FXAA. Not quite as good but better than nothing.
