ive got this problem..when i do a benchmark or play a game my fps drops after a few seconds to 9/10 fps, the strange thing is that when i move my mouse or touch my keyboard the fps goes normal again, have tried different drivers.
    running windows 8.1 on a MSI z77a-gd65 with a single EVGA GTX680.

    ideas? thanks in advance.. :)

Some windows 8.1 powersave issues, that it will going into powersave when you don't get any input?

    Hey BenYeeHua

It almost sounds like the app is not being focused on by windows .

OP bring up task manger and make sure priority is normal for the app your running . I never heard this before but easy to check .

Did you reinstall the app after going to win8.1 ?

    Yes, that can be too.

I think it can be some software running by using the Task, OP can check the task scheduler too. :)

Try disabling usb powersaving. Devmanager > usb devices.

That win 8.1 mouse bug are affecting game that using DirectInput, I don't think that game is using DirectInput, but Raw Input, right?

Raw input/disable high dpi scaling in compability makes it better but doesnt fix the error. MS have said they are looking into it. Those symptoms are different from what this user describes.
