still wonder how they dare to call Farcry 3 horrible!

Haha..I stopped playing after playing a few hours in the second island...Boring island i imho Love the first island

 

it's not realistic from the character jumping on buildings and falling off while fighting a whole army of 7, that's what turned me off this game, the whole character animations are still from the 2007 game.

 

agree first island was way better than the second, the second felt kind of empty.. no sense of world interaction.

 

Thats the first and easiest option, however for me, mods dont always change things specifically to how I want them. Knowing how to apply and not apply certain things is great. Tom Solo released a config tool for example that will allow you to apply specific tweaks only.

With Farcry 3 most mods involve the same dll and or patch pak files, so applying multiple tweaks can lead to you having to opt for compilation mods. Out of which only a handful were/are maintained to patch 1.05 level.

I loved Ziggys mod, but ultimately I ended up liking some parts of it and not others. Learning how to apply individual and specfic tweaks has been my answer. It also gives the benefit of feeling that its "your" game i.e its just how you want it.

All personal preference of course. But for me, if all you wanted to do was stop the blinking, then I'd change that myself without a third party compilation mod.

FC 3 was..... ok. FarCry 1 tho was EPIC! Well, mostly, the Triguns were kiddiefied. lol

 

Reminds me of the outrage over object highlighting in Deus Ex: HR beta .....remember that?
