Didn't check that list, but there should be enough to keep your attention if you already have a decent Steam library.
Left 4 Dead, Serious Sam and Amnesia should keep me occupied enough to do some comparisons to the Windows version.
Only indies and Valve games. How interesting.
Please stop posting.
Not sure what some people are expecting, the clue to what you are going to get
is in the title. SteamOS. Designed for gaming, it isn't Windows or Linux.
^^ if it's designed for gaming, Id give it a try
otherwise, I already have a steam box.
lappy plugged to a 34' and a xbox controller
Yeah, we all knew it was going to be mostly indie games and Valves own beforehand, it's not like anyone was being misleading.
So is it out now, anyone tried it.
"SteamOS is a new operating system based on Linux that has been specifically designed for gaming."
Linux is not an OS anyway, Linux is the Kernel, so SteamOS will be Linux as much as Ubuntu is Linux
Many news sites say the 13th, steam usually updates at 1800 GMT, should be now then.
I mean in terms of a OS system. It's easier to associate it that way.
Cheers, wasn't being lazy, out shopping and getting moaned at for being on my phone
Hopefully there when I get home.
Zero plans to install this.. I have no need for it.. I will read reviews about it though to keep in mind for future projects..
Have fun with your SteamOS son.
Can't download it yet. Or it's US only what i have read online.
The test kits are US only. The SteamOS isn't limited.
I wonder about that. Some people around here have reading comprehension issues. But you are correct.
And to answer your question, No it's not out.
I found another way to download it, there is a torrent up.
Edit: Lol, only NVIDIA videocards are supported. uke2:
Uploaded the Custom Installer to MEGA
Haven't managed to download the other SYSRESTORE one yet
EDIT - SYSRESTORE.zip
About to build a new PC on sunday (haswell) so the current PC in my sig will be spare. If I can get SteamOS and XBMC all in one then that would be awesome for an entertainment PC.
not working "vmware" "virtual box"
