The time has come... again... Steam sales used to be something everyone was looking forward to but each year these things get more and more underwhelming I feel. Still, I find myself eyeing up Everspace 2, Dyson Sphere Program and Rimworld, will probably get Rimworld tbh but I got a massive downer on the graphics. Don't forget to click through your discovery queues for that elusive Trading Card that everyone gets and ends up gathering dust with the rest of them! This year my queue contained a bunch of Japanese games which is odd because I have no interest in them, there was also a raunchy hentai game in the mix where you get to have your way with a robot girlfriend or something... no idea why this popped up for me but there ya go! Interestingly it didn't come up with a mature content warning but the latest Resident Evil ( which I also have no interest in ) did come up with a warning. Will your wallet stay shut this year ? or will you unleash the full might of the dineros and go all out ?
Will do what I do each sale, see if any titles on my wishlist are discounted and maybe buy one or a few.
Unless they have the next Forza already in there i'll pass. Oh and Everspace 2 is good fun actually. Would recommend.
There are some very good older games for cheap. It's not disappointing at all. Here's a few that are excellent and all-time favorites of mine: Doom 4 5€ Shadowrun: Dragonfall 3.74€ Shadowrun: Hong Kong 5€ Witcher 3 for 6€ (GOTY edition for 10€) Alien Isolation 5€ Tomb Raider GOTY edition 3.55€ Memoria 1.79€ Max Payne 3 for 6€ Black Mesa 7.19€ The Descendant 1.49€ Deus Ex: Human Revolution 3€ Surely you haven't played all of them already? Edit: Oh, all the Shadowrun games are free to keep on GOG (giveaway expires on Monday.) Even better than "just" cheap: https://www.gog.com/game/shadowrun_trilogy
I've been looking at Northgard for several sales in a row, decided to bite this time. Might be a while before I get to it.
no EGS account here. so i tend to buy on sales, discounts and if it's worth it - full price. buying games is not relevant ( specially those free or older type of games ), unless you feel it's relevant for you. meaning - Vice City for example is one of the best games iv played in it's time, so i most def want to pay for it and i want it on my main library ( Steam ). so those Steam sales are still relevant in my case. who knows, some day my kid might play it.. having all of those in one place feels right.
I am not ashamed to expect GOG or Steam to offer free games. No hurry, I still have to catch up with a ton of games that I missed out when I was busy working 2 or 3 jobs. Now I have both time and hardware to play, just enjoying the slow pace. Games companies for sure dislike my way of thinking.
Yakuza like a Dragon is $29 on Newegg (steam digital code), now i can enjoy all 8 games in the series. Source: https://www.newegg.com/sega-yakuza-...on=yakuza&cm_re=yakuza-_-32-203-393-_-Product
If anyone is in the mood for old school styled run 'n gun shooting, this is a great opportunity. The Metal Slug games are on sale too, MS1, 2, 3 and X. I highly recommend them. Additionally, Blazing Chrome, considering it's the closest thing we've ever gotten to Contra for modern times (without having to go full 3D) and its amazing price right now it'd be a shame not to buy it. It's a great game.
i missed out zero euros, since all those freebies are already finished, bought, or w\e. by your comment's logic, people should not buy games, wait a couple of years wishing Epic would hand over it as free games. should i buy a game ? no, lets wait, it will eventually be handed to me. your comment lacks the time factor, the most important thing for a human being.
