Well, being sick during a steam sale has its advantages! I get to check out the deals every now and then :p Alan Wake franchise is on sale for $9.99, great atmosphere and different gameplay. Do buy it :)

    Don't think.
    Buy.
It's one of the modern action platformers that actually doesn't suck.

    Because it's a great game ! that's why it's constantly in Steam's top 5 most played games :)

Oh and yeah Alice is great too, the art direction is fantastic.

EDIT: wow, Alice is at 12.49€ here...talk about a price difference...

But in seriousness, that sucks for you guys. I have no idea why they can't match the prices in your currency.

Also, Bioshock 2 for $5.00 dollars in the states. Hopefully the same for France and others.

Just a quick noob steam question.
What happens if you buy a collection but you already have 1 or 2 of the games on steam? Do you somehow get discounted or do you pay twice for the same game? :3eyes:

You pay for them, and you can gift them to other people(the extra copy's of the games you already had)

It's because of some behind the scenes play by either the retail shops or the publishers. Nothing Valve can really do about it.

Guys! Should I buy Alan Wake franchise now or hope that it may return on encore day? My budget will already be stretched by 20% if Skyrim (and it's finally out of the top 10!) goes for 66% off, another $10 would burden it even more! :(

There's a lot of great deals - shame I have them all already! :(

I did pick up Toy Soldiers for under £2 though only to find that not only does it use Games for Windows LIVE but that it doesn't even support 1920x1080 or 1920x1080!!! Sorry to be crude but WTF!?!?!?!?! :3eyes:

The developers are apparently patching the game to include support for at least 1920x1080 but considering the game has been out a few months now I'm shocked it doesn't already include it. For now I'm having to run the game in windowed mode to avoid it looking blurry even at the highest supported resolution of 1680x1050.

Choices, choices. I just bought it, but I don't need Skyrim hehe.
It seems according to your budget you have to make a choice anyways. Either Alan Wake or Skyrim to stay within budget. From a financial point of view, Alan Wake is the better choice, because you stay within budget and it's a good bargain.
But it depends on what you want of course ;)

I'm doing the same but with Anno 2070. Wish some one would tell if it's worth it! lol

Well 2 of the 3 games I have just bought, I wish I had not! Dust crashes right after the Ubisoft logo and does not go any further. I now find it's a common thing. The other is Alice Madness Returns. It only runs at 30fps! My eyes hurt.
