This time its Assasins creed unity that went from mixed to very positive because the game is free and they donated money to restore the church. Notthing is to be said about the free game and donation because that is just awesome , but that is not where the reviews are for. https://store.steampowered.com/app/289650/Assassins_Creed_Unity/#app_reviews_hash
All those terrible people leaving positive reviews and informing potential customers it is currently available for free on uplay how dare they. *shakes fist* xD
Too much attention on something that shouldn't get any. The game industry is too butt-hurt over something that users can do on most other things. Maybe imdb should remove it from their site too. God forbid a bad flick or anything like that ends up with a score of 4, oh no. Or a monitor that sells on amazon and has a high rate of dead pixels due to poor quality control ends up with a high number of low score votes. And yes the reviews often don't directly align with product quality but can also be affected by external factors(good or bad), and yet it's only from vidya gaem PR you hear moaning and derogatory remarks about their very own customer base over this. More attention due to market size increases means more scrutiny, naturally..?!. Well, so... eexcuuuuuuuuuse me princess you asked for it.
Maybe these unwanted positive reviews will be marked as "off topic"... This timeline is the stupidest.
Just shows that when a company does something good, people will respond accordingly. While I disagree with review bombing, I understand why people do it. Most feel it's the only way to make some publishers/developers actually notice. And in some cases, sadly, that's true.
Review And i would like to leave this here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/289650/discussions/0/1681441347882112821/
And the Steam forums continue to prove they are a dumpster fire. They can be good... in fixing and issue. But, as a place for openly discussing a game's quality... nope. No.
Unity is a good game and looked better and ahead of it's time but man those graphics put people gpus in hell
I absolutely agree. I do read steam reviews (usually when a game's "approval" is not that big), but a review posted there by itself does mean nothing (neither any % approval rating on steam).
