With STEAM's new refund policy, the discounts most likely won't be as worth while as they've been in the past. The previous sale is a good indicator of that. Not daily or Flash sales, one standard discounted price for the entire sale. Sort of makes the entire thing rather pointless. As is, I only have maybe... three or so games on my wishlist. And those are Doom, Shadow Warrior 2 and DX:Mankind Divided. Sale is pointless for me from minute one.
No cdkey sites that I could find had Quake Live, was only $10 on Steam anyways and considering the years of play I had when it was free it was well worth it.
I tend to agree with you guys. Steam sales have lost some of their appeal with no flash sales, from a buyer's point of view it takes the hunt out of it. Yet again, Phaze is right... same junk during every sale... you end up looking for two, maybe three titles, which mostly aren't on discounted enough, so it's not surprising I've had a hard time finding anything to buy during the last steam sales anyway.
That statement makes no sense. I mean, i kinda understand what you're saying, but considering there's always new games that have been released between sales, as well as price drops between sales, and some games go on bigger sales then previous sales........well, i just don't understand how your statement makes any sense. If this really does continue to be the case, i just want to say....i called it.
I am skipping this sale I have so many unused or completed games I really need to play some first steam....gnrmarine
Last game i completed was BatmanAK. Gonna skip the next sale or i'd just buy more stuff i dont really need.
I like the seasonal sales, got a bunch of games from Summer Sale for less than one full-priced game (IIRC Remember Me, DmC and Ryse so good games too). Gonna get me something for Xmas very likely.
Most of the popular picks on sales are already in my Library. The thing about the winter sale is that you need to browse constantly cause in all the junk there are a few gems. I still think everyone can find something, but its tedious.
