I really must give another browser a chance. I've been rocking FF since before I can remember!

I believe you would like it, worth a try and you can always uninstall if not pleased.

Chrome is just amazing. Installed it for every single of my friend and they have made it their default browser since then.

As long as Firefox stays good or decent, I will not switch. I'd rather support a non-profit organization rather than Microsoft or Google.

The day they allow it to open files directly instead of making me save files I may switch.

Also Google seem to hate Proxies, they use the system settings for Chrome and took them forever to get it in Android.

No Proxy settings in the browser make it less "Portable" because you have to use System settings.

Agreed. I hope chrome does allow opening a file, without having to save them first just like FF. I don't like its config/options menu either. @.@

As a Web developer, I am forced to use most of the browsers regularly. I generally dislike IE, and cheer every time an older version drops below 2% market share. I still have to work with IE7, but I can't wait to drop it.

The developer extensions for Firefox are still the best (like Firebug,) but I personally enjoy Chrome for general browsing, with its speed and stability. Disliking the options menu is a poor reason to discount a browser, imo.

Same... I've been using FF since the first public release IIRC. Sure it's bloated but it supports all the plugins I need, Chrome... not so much, not last I checked anyway. I don't like Chrome's interface and spying anyway, well it's from Google so I assume it collects everything including your DNA.

I have Chrome installed as a secondary browser right now since Avast snuck it in, I didn't see anything regarding it. I just took a second to uninstall it now as I was typing this, good, it's gone. I'll install Opera as a secondary browser as I've been doing forever.

Not surprised, it does the job and is nice and stable, it's also quicker, something i found out when trying out browsers on the dusty old PC's at work.

Still have a soft spot for Firefox as i used it for years, and always have it installed, but its went downhill over the last few years.

I used to love ff but I switch to chrome now, seems fast and has great addons, plus it works really nice with google apps. Really not much reason for ff anymore Imo.
