I don't own the game. Most things I read about the game seems to indicate the game is "OK". But I have a lot of "OK" games I never finished. And thats a "me" problem. So I wont buy it. Because I really don't seem to finish "OK" games anymore.
Ok note to self, ships and creatures 20 levels above you will indeed turn you to mush in seconds.........here endeth the lesson. Lol God i cannot put this down, the surveying stuff to 100% is really scratching my Crackdown orb hunting itch.
Weapon Swap Stuttering Fix https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/2830 not entirely gone tho. Getting harder and harder to distinguish good mods from crap mods, so many crap mods are beeing uploaded..9/10 of the mods are crap imho.
Did you like fallout 4 at all? For better or worse starfield is just FO4 in space tbh, I like it because one of my favourite things in games is having no clear objective and just wandering around exploring and finding things
"exploring and finding things" Well, if you're happy with copy/paste locations, same items placement, same enemy placement, everything 100% same, thats good for you. Other people might want to see different variations of one and the same. (Abandoned Mining Outpost, etc.)
Not really. But in that case, the reason that made me stop playing was a bug that crashed the game with Turing cards.
Well, what can I say? Having finished the main quest line I can comfortably say it's the weakest main quest line Bethesda has ever created. Some of the side quests have been more interesting, but honestly, I have zero motivation to continue playing at this point. The whole package just feels dated.
LukeFZ's DLSS3 frame gen mod is unstable on my system. Played the game for 85 hours with LukeFZ''s DLSS2 with no issues but as soon as I switched to DLSS3 frame gen mod then I have two crashes in the last 10 hours of playing the game, both occurring while going through doors where the game loads the next area. No error or anything, the game just exits to the desktop. I've now switched back to the DLSS2 mod. Also, encountered a bug with The Auditorium Audition mission on Neon. I am told to meet Briggs and speak with him but on entering the bar and going up the stairs to the door, I find it is locked and requires a keycard (the game states the door is opened elsewhere). There is no other way to access the area where Briggs is other than this door so this appears to be my first broken quiest in Starfield. Well done, Bethesda! I knew you wouldn't disappoint me!!!
Stand at door, press tilde key or whatever key which brings up console. Click on locked door and then type unlock and hit enter, continue with quest
Yeah i ran across some zealots roaming around a big starship which i am supposed to destroy, so off i went guns blazing only for the ship to hit me once and for me to go pop.......so i almost have 500,000 credits, so i think it is time to upgrade from the ranger ship. Ha
I saw a ship come down from space and land over a large hill but I couldn't see where it landed, so I set off to go see what was over there.. it was night time so really dark... when I got over the hill found the ship, no one was outside and it was unlocked so I went inside and there were people inside... I talked to some of them and then found the captain and they thought I was there to get something from them so I played along and they gave me something which I then forgot about. Quite a few hours later I was ambushed by some people in space who wanted something back which at that time I completely forgot about the first part so I was like wtf are you talking about. Long story short a bunch of space ships raped me in the vacuum of space.
AI problem, you can try setting the FPS cap to 120 using the reflexFpsCap option in config.json. about the loading crash, you can manually turn FG on and off by pressing F12. Turn off any kind of autosave, but still save frequently, since this is a Bethesda Game Studios and Creation Engine game it's bound to be unstable. Sorry, I can't test it myself as I've deleted my free version of the game.
It may be a time thing, as i once had to access a computer in a office, but could not because a npc was using it, so i sat in the nearest chair and waited until after 6pm before they all finished work and left. Lol
I think my biggest bugbear with the game is the system it has in place to track crafting materials you need, seems there's no way to individually track something, if I want the materials to make a gun scope for example and I'm missing one ingredient, I have to track all 5 things needed for the scope, even if I already have many of 4 of them, and when I'm at a store or crafting station or whatever, I can only see that I have something tracked, not that I already have 50 in my resources container for example, unless I'm being incredibly dense I need to literally write down on a piece of paper next to me the components/ingredients I really need for a project, seems really dumb and backwards.
if you're using steam, use their new-ish overlay to take notes. (don't mean to take away from the point you're making)
https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/2830?tab=description "Each weapon modifier caused an inventory read. The more modifiers a weapon and items in the inventory had, the longer it took to swap weapons." goddamn procreating idiots of bethesda, do you test your own procreating games?
Hearing that PureDark has updated his drm So if you sailed the seven seas to get his mod the new one will crash or black screen
