Still got that big Sidewinder FF joystick. Not sure if i can reach all those buttons on it with blocked eyesight though. With VR the 360 controller seems to work perfectly.
I know this game is slowly fading but Joe did a solid review on it. I may have to pick it up at some stage to give it a go.
I absolutely loved it. The Star Wars game I always wanted. Thankfully I didn’t have any of the reported issues so it ran and looked great maxed out. I think my buddy and I played 8 hours straight on release. My only issue was my HOTAS was a little too sensitive and they fixed it in the first patch. Actually I need to big my buddy to give it another spin now that it handles better. I love that you can literally with a HOTAS turn it into a full on Sim being able to turn off the HUD and fly just by cockpit gauges or make it arcade as you want it to be.
See I didn’t have that one I’m at 1440 144hz and it ran pretty close to 144 most of the time I paid any attention. I would have totally noticed if it was at 60hz
Ive had it running at 200fps on the launch version, its still not smooth. It was in the first alpha and in the invite alpha, Just not a priority fix. Most people will be at 60fps or just won't notice. Its been confirmed as a game engine issue just waiting on fix to be released.
My son just played through it a few weeks ago. He bummed my (trusty, old) Sidewinder for it. He liked Squadrons. To me, it looks like a modern SP X-Wing game with frantic power management and everything. I should probably get this too...
