Thanks for your reply. Could you share the same .pak that you're using so we can get some feedback? Do you think I could get similar results with the 13900K? I was watching some videos (not just yours) and my GPU utilization is not always 99%. Maybe a lot depending on where you are in the game but even looking at the last video of Bang4Back who has the same setup of mine he has the GPU always squeezed to the max. That doesn't happen with me unfortunately and I don't know what it depends on.
@XenthorX is awesome in sharing what he does in the Unreal Engine. In this post he upload SWJS_Custom_Ini_Kit with instructions how to use the UUU,there is a newer verision now for SWJS.He also includes what he changed and in his recent videos he list ini changes he has done. https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/star-wars-jedi-survivor.443220/page-26#post-6129033
Main journey is now finished little over 24 hours, good story if not predictable at times but thoroughly enjoyed the game yes i did have traversal stutters but nothing dramatic and just 1 single crash half way through chapter 6
Is anyone playing this game on PC and trying to adjust the difficulty level? I think I would like to try the level below Jedi Knight. I on the desert planet trying to rendezvous with Cere, tough But I am unable to change the level with the keyboard. Even exiting to the desktop is a chore. I can only edit and select with the same spacebar key help
Limiting framerate to 40 and resolution to 75% via the INI file, turning raytracing off, and dropping res to 1440p basically fixed it for me. Limiting to 60 just had enough frames dropped to make me nauseous, but 40 is still responsive and matches how I play HW:L and HFW in "Balanced" on PS5. My 3080 FE, 5600x, and 32GB DDR4 3200 C14 RAM just can't quite brute force this mess how it typically can in most new releases.
For some reason, this game runs at the same framerate in 1440p and 4k for me. The GPU hovers around 60 percent usage in 1440p and rarely maxes out. 1440p 4k
My 13700KF @ 6200Mhz is a bottleneck for me up to 4K,past 4K GPU get to work. EDIT: Added 1080p/1440p/2160p all the same FPS on 13700KF with RTX 4090
EPIC!!! Wallpapers of the year! When I use the game's camera, Cal is always blurred. Are you using something different for these beautiful shots?
Hey Gurus, Tell me what you think of Luke's cousin. His name is Larry Skywalker. He seems cool. Larry is in the first vid. Youtube is still processing the HDR of my vids. Here is some footage of me testing framerates and traversal stuttering in 6k, 5k and 4k using different upscalers. I'm all over the place in these vids and the camera is too. I'm constantly looking for hiccups. These are recorded with GeForce Experience. The next set are with OBS. The videos are long and boring. I'm not actually trying to play the game. I'm mainly walking and running around testing the areas that's known for traversal stutters. The upscaling tools definitely help. I wish our vids could be recorded with what we actually experience in gameplay and framerate. Maybe Elgato or some company will finally release a product that can record in true 4k120 HDR with VRR.
Something must be wrong as your GPU usage is significantly lower than it should be. At native 4K mine with RT on and FSR off, my GPU usage is almost always at 100%.
That's one of the things they definitely got right in the game, the HDR implementation is rock solid and a definite step up from the original. How long is it going to be before they start using HDR10+ in games?
I just used the game photomode. To turning off focal distance/depth of field set the f-stop setting up to max (32). Do you know a way to make casting shadows visible over a certain distance? Taking some screenshots, I realized that there is a narrow range beyond which the cast shadows disappear. I would like to increase this value if possible. it would also be nice to improve the lod of the game because many objects quickly lose quality as soon as you move away from them.
Motion blur/CA/Film grain OFF: TAA1+Native Epic Settings vs TAA2 + 75% Res upscaling + 0.3 Sharpen (to help with streaming details) https://imgsli.com/MTgwNjgy File To place in ../Jedi Survivor/SwGame/Content/Paks/ More Infos on upscaling and there
Wow, thank you! That just made a pretty substantial difference for me. I just landed on the 3rd planet and put plenty of time in on Koboh, so it may be tough to compare. Still, I get rid of my 40 cap and was well over 60 even in combat. I had just changed to 75% in the INI file, but all I did was drop that pak file in and hit play. I haven't given RT a try since I gave up and locked at 40. Is non-environmental RT, like your earlier pak file, worth it?
