This looks ok, but nothing more than that. Pretty much bf4 with star wars skins.
Curious, what exact settings did you use, and how much vram did it use?
All ingame settings Ultra, AA on high.
Fov was 85
Res was 3840 X 2160 DSR
Vram was around the 3700mb mark, Didnt go any higher regardless of settings so whether thats a 970 Thing I don't know.
No major stuttering though, Dips below 60 but no major stutter.
Yep, I was in on it and played it. Completed that single player mission and spent a good while over last few days on multiplayer 20 vs 20.
To be honest once I turned off Crossfire (not supporting it yet) the game played great - 1920x1200 all Ultra settings (antialiasing to Low) getting around 45FPS (using only one GPU of 7990).
And not like BF series at all really. Many things different - but not allowed to discuss anything here...
Going by the screens, if you removed all of the star wars ships flying in the sky and the odd stormtrooper than can be seen, id of thought this was bf.
But thats an unfair observation. As cynical as i am, even i know that.
Whens the NDA lift? ya busstads
AA on high? Surely the game has an option for msaa, and not just post processing aa ?
Well it is a bit like Battlefield but some things are different!
When is NDA lifted? November 17th I would have thought... when the game is released!
Say what you want, but this looks like Medal of Honor.
They just grabbed their Afghanistan props, put fancy Star Wars stuff here and there and voila, there it is - Star Wars: Battlefront.
Oh, so not open beta?
Unfortunately no, And High is the max.
So no hardware AA, only post processing AA ? -_-
This seems absurd, since its using the exact same engine as bf4 and DAI, which DOES let you use msaa.
Do they at least still give you the option of choosing render resolution?
What's hardware AA?
I think he means multisampling/supersampling in comparison to FXAA.
.ini file structure is the same as other frostbite engines I enable a bunch of stuff in the profile file and it all worked including msaa, command lines ect
also a new type of Ambient Occlusion
Lets not forget this is a alpha and a oldish build that was built for e3
Also I must of missed the MOH that had jet backs...
Personally I loved the alpha it feels refreshing to be in a totally different setting to modern warfare it's fast and very objective based with a pretty relaxed TTK
I look forward to the final game.
I was hoping he discovered new HW accelerated AA methods.
Really, no beta? Would have expected at least some sort of it close to launch, like with BF titles.
Oh I'm sure there will be. So I'm sure you'll all see it before the full release.
ps. the multiplayer doesn't really look anything like the single player detail wise - they can put a lot more detail into the small single player map than a large multiplayer map!
We still got these dank new "super resolution" features from both gpu companies, at varying levels of success...
yeah me too im not impressed with this game at all it looks too much like a bf4 mod and the guns even look like bf4 weapons star wars is light sabres and futuristic guns , to use bf4 and fps as a base for this game was a mistake i think a star wars game should be an epic fully open world fre roam game like gta 5 or fallout
The guns are modelled on the real props used in the star wars movies...they couldn't be any more star wars..
also light lightsabers are in.
TBH I find the whole comparing to battlefield silly, it plays nothing like it and the aesthetics are a nice change to modern shooters or even near futures settings.
were getting full on pew pews again finally.
