Ahh misunderstood you there my friend sorry. But at least we share the opinion on that
Yeah but, the Romulan's do not adhere to that policy, as far as I can recall. (Thinking strictly of the new Star Trek movies, however.)
Boys and girls, set phasers to... cautiously optimistic ?
I'm in love with Captain Picard. He's such a great example for human kind. Total fan.
OMG YES! Setting appears a bit sterile, but I'm certainly looking forward to the show! Let's hope it won't disappoint like Discovery did.
So we got Hugh the borg back, what looks like a Borg cube being used as a prison ship with what looks like it might be filled with borg crew who have been unborged, and could she be the next borg queen in the making.........so this could be set after the events of Voyager Endgame were Janeway infected the old borg queen with that virus that stops the borg because part of the collective..........we shall see.
hehe 7 times borg in your post.
I heard that if you say Locutus in front of a mirror in a dark room three times in a row, being in there alone, it summons a trailor of ST:"Picard". I did not dare to try that though
delete, youtube ain't working so the joke doesn't work.
I do like everything Star Trek and I even like Star Trek Dicovery and when I seen the trailer I actually got goosebumps .
In Canada being shown on SPACE channel in 2020.I may just get back with Amazon.ca Prime just for this.
^^^I have a sneaky susp
And i did not even mention ex borg 7of9 and her still borg face plate. lol
Well ive just seen episode 1. Totally not disappointing, i enjoyed it.
Its like a detective series , mysteries, clues etc.

I want to watch and there was a time,Star Trek was every week never miss it.I just may wait and sit down and watch the whole season in one sitting.Just did this with the Witcher and I enjoyed it.
like dixon hill?
moderator request: can we pleasey weasy have a thread to talk just about the show episodes, and not the trailer an initial discussions from over a year ago.
Please. I will make cake.
Anna nailed it.
btw - the reason why she can talk for very long periods without seemingly taking a breath is because she had a tear duct replaced with a tube when she was young. Which is not only cool, but pretty bad-ass. She can breathe through her eyelets...
What's stopping you? The same amount of time you used to complain you could have used to start your own thread.
Thanks for the heads up! Seems I get a nice present for my birthday tomorrow
^Wait till you see all the borg stuff you are getting.
I don't have any real complaints for episode 1. Good stuff. Can't wait for the next one! Oh yeah, one complaint: The buildings at the research lab (particularly the interiors) didn't look very 24th Century to me. Swinging glass doors, really?
What can I say...thumbs down from me. Patrick Stewart once disingenuously said that he was about to call his lawyer when he first saw Red Dwarf. I wonder what e.g. the creators of The Expanse, Blade Runner 2049, Alita Battle Angel, STAR WARS, BSG, Mass Effect and the fricking Wachowskis have to say about what has been just a SINGLE fricking episode of Picard so far. Apparently the recipe for this is anything BUT actual Star Trek with some Trekkie pandering sprinkles on top. Not impressed. I'll watch this to live-action anime standards from now on...hopefully I'll manage to remember why half the characters even exist by episode 5.
that godawful Kili/Tauriel meeting by the end. AAAAGH!
I don't mind that they use sci-fi tropes, since ST helped create more than a few, but
yeah, they introduce that guy with the sinister music and then he walks in with his Justin Bieber wannabe hair and acts like a really nice fellow with a tragic background, and it's up to us to fret over whether he's a central plot figure or just a red herring. Anyhow, yeah seems like probably a bad move, I'll agree.
