You are a perfect example of...
Don't waste your time trying to counter their baseless nonsense with actual facts. Ones such as the game isn't even late. On two separate occasions the backers of this game voted overwhelmingly to greatly expand the size and scope of the game. this made any previous ETA's null and void. They seem to be forgetting that.
I was one of those that voted for Moaar !!!
It it turning out even better than I was even hoping for. Fantastic work ! =)
Any that really follow their open development will understand the Incredible amount of work going into this passionately developed game.
EDIT: Like your video linked above, quite apt.
Lol at Derek.... I wonder if he is still tweeting up a storm.
The first livestream has been uploaded in full, I watched a little bit of it, some cool things were shown...
This is really cool...
As someone out of the SC loop, do we have a "ballpark" idea of when the game might be done? Perhaps sometime in 2019?
It looks like Squadron 42 is targeted for end of 2017 or beginning of 2018.. The MMO Star Citizen will be getting alpha 3.0 soon™.. from the looks of it they are trying to get rid of some gamebreaking bugs before release...
Here is the full Gamescom presentation... 3.0 demo... some of what they show is amazing, some pretty janky bugs and crashes, hence it not being released yet, lol at the lady playing the dude hehe.
The face mimicry tech is kind of mind blowing for me, that is going to change multiplayer games in my opinion, I can see more video games doing it too.
The only games it will make a difference in are ones in which players need to have extended face to face conversations with other players. So right off the bat that limits the type of games that will want to expend the resource to incorporate this 'feature'. How many games, really, do you spend extended periods of time talking face to face with other players?
They've gone past $160M...still going strong.
Ok I must admit I was not interested in this game at all.Tried a couple of free weekends and the game did not run good at all or was nothing to do.
I was watching some videos on youtube and this popped up.Impressive must just be a buy if/when something is released at a reasonable price.
On a more serious note, though, a planet sized city is awesome stuff, especially if they manage to cram it full with NPCs, 'find my cat's toy' quests, street urchins and the like...
if only they could put 100 player per server on 3.0, it'll start bringing much more life in-game.
2.6.4 feels already empty with so few people, but with the scale of 3.0.. oh boy.
Can't wait for people to try :3
Damn, that looks impressive. Gonna wait until this is released and then upgrade my rig to whatever it needs to run this properly.
i don't even know why people keep discussing a game that will never pan out, and will never launch and will be in development limbo for years and has been in limbo for years...
If i remember correctly. Evocati did test 60 player instances last week or something with success.
Star Citizen is going First wave PTU. Which means all current players of 3.0 can share their content. Therefore:
I was also part of the 60+ player test :3
i wish i could get in
Nice! Its happening!
