Hey guys, looking for an ssd drive for a new build up to 100£, I will be adding another one in raid after a few months. What would be the best choice? Its either going into a ryzen 3600 build or the new 5000 series

Hard to say unless we know why you need it for, you didn't even say if you want NVMe. In 100£ it seems that you can find a 970 Evo Plus 500GB, 980 Pro 250, or a QVO SATA if you want space. There are plenty of other alternatives, no need to get Samsung, but since you just didn't mention anything other than wanting a SSD, it's hard to give you suggestions.

If your considering RAID how big of an array are you planning and for what purpose? I still run a 1TB RAID 0 array of 850 EVOs because back then big drives were rare and very expensive. It was my OS drive until I built a new rig and went M2 NVME for OS and now it’s a “fast game drive”
Need more details than just your budget and possible RAID.

Used Samsung Evo 850, 860 and 970 Plus series, those I can recommend.

Imo,for SSD or Nvme 1Tb see your local store or catch a good offer on Amazon.

For cpu wait for Ryzen R5 5600 or get an 3700X,for future proof sake.Hope you will have a good Gpu. :)
Im not a big fan of Raid, because its a waste of money and space.

Hey guys, for some reason this is the first time I get a notification someone replied to the thread lol. Back in the day ssd drives in raid had the best performance so I thought it was the way to go. Would you say an M.2 would be the best way these days? Saw plenty of them in that price range with what seemed amazing speeds making the raid option pointlesa. The build is for gaming btw, getting a rtx 2060 for now.

Bullet-proof drives. Solid performers, high-quality components and build. But, hey, don't take my word for it:

When companies decide to only provide it in that form?
