I would just backup your device and restore to factory default because I'm not sure what you installed. Not much adverts here, mainly adverts are in free apps I download that I know have ads. Otherwise, no ads in Android. Just like on any desktop/laptops, please practice: don't install what you don't need and know what you're installing before you install. install lookout and do a scan, and if you're rooted install droidwall and block what ever is bringing the spam in if lookout didn't take care of it
when you download an app and install it, it will show you the list of permissions it asks for when youre installing it. you can also double check this in apps manager by tapping on the app and scrolling down. always read what permissions the app is asking for before installing. ie. if its a game and its asking for permission to send text messages, then you know something is suspicious.
its not popped up since installing Lookout, so cheers for that, ive just updated to 2.3.6 KP6 with odin so its all gone, i have lookout installed from start and ill now keep my eyes open. can i just say i dont watch porn on my phone, i have a pc with a 24" screen to watch it on instead
Also, if you are rooted, install Adfree from the marketplace. It blocks most ads on the free apps & browsers.
ok the adware came from non other than GPS Fix, if you go on android market and find gps fix all users are complaining.
