If if were to use a brand new Audigy sound card vs. the built in onboard sound in my motherboard, will I get better performance in games?
for your system, you would. on more powerful systems.. with alc850, uyou might lose a few frames but you will be pushing more than enough for a good gaming experience. i have an audigy 2 that is just lying around cause my alc850 gets the job done. and if you look at the scope of things.. there arent a HUGE number of games that use EAX anyway.
