I looked at the X7, but that's over 300 bucks.

That's just too much for what i do with my audio. I just play games and listen to music every now and then.

But i still want the Creative Headphone Surround features. And i'm fine spending up to 150, i don't want it to be a downgrade of my ZxR atleast.

It's pricey, I agree, but you keep it for a while. However, while ZxR is working, there is no need to change anything, unless you manage to find someone that wishes to buy it from you.

I like the G6 form factor as well, i can probably mount it on a NUC bracket behind my monitor.

Just installed it for my ZxR, copied over the settings, same sound, which is good :D

These are the settings i use for my AKG K601 incase anyone has similar headphones and wants to try it out.

I just went back to the old driver (red icon), as i'm getting some strange behaviour since i installed the Sound Blaster Command one.

Sometimes when i plug in a USB Device my ZxR cuts out, and that's been happening since i installed the new drivers. And that's with a "clean" install, removing left over folders and registery keys.

Now i only just reinstalled the old ones, so i won't know yet if the problem is gone, since it happens sporadically, i guess i will report back in a week or so.

    EDIT:

I think the issue was related to a poorly connected USB 2.0 header, cuz it's not happning anymore, not even with the new drivers ^^
