Sony sold 3.4 million units of PlayStation 5 in its first 4 weeks

There isn't a reason to own one yet over a PS4.

 

I want one cause I want Nioh 2 and Nioh 1 for PS5 in February. Nioh1 and Nioh2 are solely responsible majority of ALL play time I have on my ps4 and I would love to play both at 60FPS and a Resolution higher then 1080p like 4K and assuming both with have some sorta RT? that will probably turn off if it cant keep 60FPS at those resolution

Both game look like ASS on base ps4 in action mode but the gameplay more then make up for it, but I will to bet I wont get my hand on one before then anyway.

Anywhile I have nioh for PC it will runing 1440p and keep 60FPS I rather play on console

 

TBF even though I know Demon Souls will very likely be released in 18 months time on PC, It's possible that I might get a console just to play that if there's even a small drought in PC releases.

There are enough exclusives (timed or otherwise) that I could be pushed over the edge if the consoles are freely available to buy.

 

If people are willing to pay double or triple the price they deserve to be ripped off, they're a bunch of idiots and the scalpers are making fools of them

 

Are you suggesting that they limited PS4 launch so they can appear to have sold more PS5s? and are limiting PS5 so they appear to sell more PS6 when that comes along?
because that would be one of the most insane illogical things I have ever heard!

 

They have sold everything to one person probably so he/she can double the price after. It's just retarded how human behavior has turned in the last years....

 

Metal gear solid? I mean thats been coming out on PC for a long time? minus 3 and 4 that never came... Zero dawn was a odd one to come. But what else has? uncharted, god of war, days gone, ghost, spiderman, rachet and clank etc etc loads have stayed exclusive... Have you zeen zero dawn come over and assumed they all have?

This stuff was impossible to get back in Sept/Nov but not impossible now. I have a Strix 3080 and a 5600x for 2 months, i have had 2 3070s and now a PS5. You just gotta stay on top of it, stuff is coming in stock but you have seconds to buy it.

 

Financial analysts reckon Sony limited the number of consoles because they make a small loss on each sale. Even if it's just $5 selling 3.4m losses them $17m. So they don't want to sell 10m that's for sure. They're happy to sell more once yields improve and costs come down and they can at least break even or make a small profit on sales. Same for XseriesX but MS can afford it especially if every sale means a game pass sale that's where they're making money.

Originally I was going to get an RTX 3080/6900XT, XseriesX and Zen 3 5600X. Ended up get AIB RTX 3090 and Zen 2 3800X for same budget and will wait for XseriesX as I have the XboneX. Pretty chuffed as the 3090 is a beast at 1440p with everything Ultra including ray tracing and plays nicely with my 144hz freesync monitor in G-Sync compatibility mode. The frames I get I don't even need DLSS.

 

Thats roughly the same number scalpers sold....
