Something is seriously wrong with windows 11 22h2.

Absolutely no issues with hags. Again, I’m using 21h2.

just upgraded to 22h2 with installation assistant on my pc and i loved it. everything is fine and generally same if not better, and i noticed more stable frametimes in bf2042.

 

Yeah, saying that its caused by the applications using debugging features, aka, Presentmon, which uses a high latency performance counter called Microsoft_Windows_DxgKrnl_Performance to retrieve frame latency.

The afflicted counter has had its performance improved in Dev insider and will trickle back to 2262x soon.

 

11 22H2 here too no issues at all.
A Plague Tale Requiem and other DX12 games actually run much better than 10.

 

So basically installing the latest dev build would be a potential fix for now?

 

Yes, but the 25xxx builds are going to be windows 12, so you're taking a leap there.

You can't go backwards to a fixed 2262x build and 25xxx has a kill date on it.

No problem at all with my G-sync compatible, very very smooth on borderless window now and some DX12 works better on 11 too (CB2077, Plague Tale..etc)

Did they add the ability for small taskbar and ungrouping in this update?

Not interest in paid mods for basic features.

 

So I tried the latest dev build, but it seems that didn't fix the issue.
As one example, Diablo 2 Resurrected (DX12) seems to have odd microstutters on 22H2 and later, the only way to fix it is by disabling core parking with something like ParkControl.

Of course disabling core parking on Alder Lake with the hybrid architecture is not a preferable solution.

So I made a custom ISO and went back to 21H2, and to my surprise it did fix the issue, without having to touch core parking.

Like Microsoft said, you won't be offered 22H2 through windows update for now, it doesn't show up anymore.

 

can everyone with Intel 12th and 13th do this test? make sure you have e ores enabled or tell if it didn't happened without them.

If i format my ssd and install clean win 10 then on updates win 11 will show up 21H2? <not 22H2>?
I ask because i dont wanna 22H2. Just testing that in Cyberpunk2077. Have issue with fps . I think its 22H2 problem because on 21H2 all was fine.

I installed Windows 11 Pro on my new PC and so far, haven't had a single issue. Performance is better than in Windows 10, and it's definitely snappier and more efficient. Also love how much more HDR friendly Windows 11 is!

 

This actually fixed stutters I had in Sekiro (with unlocked fps). Not sure about other games, haven't tested yet.

 

I was having weird performance issues in gzdoom, it would start smooth then performance would degrade. Now all is fixed with this windows update, well in the initial testing I have done it seems resolved.

 

i'll test it later. I'll have to reinstall 22h2 tho
