Yeah, 1440p here. Was just wandering because even a 970 would do fine at 1080p but you clearly wanted freesync so that makes sense.

freesync is honestly the best thing AMD has going for them, cost savings considering and AMD + freesync is a big win in my books

I know g-sync is technically better, but damned if I can tell the difference inb the 5 minutes I messed around with both.

I'm at 96hz with regular display and I honestly love it, I'd rather keep my expectations low than start being unable to use normal displays lol

Image is very invalid. We already know RX470 benchmark in Hitman 1080p HIGH.

So it is very unlikely for RX480 to manage 1440p60 @ ultra

Sadly Gsync is just too exspensive.
The Gsync version a 29 inch 21:9 was $250 more.
Paid $300 for this on black friday 2015.

This 970 does 1.3 core and 1.5ghz boost on a reference cooler @ 75c and is pretty quiet.

Ill be happy with 480 reference doing 1.4-1.5 ghz oc.
I also have a G10 kraken and an AIO I could throw on it to keep it cool.

Indeed. Monitors have always been very expensive though, I believe I will buy a g-sync display when I can get HDR + ultrawide 1440p + gsync for around $600

So you drew a red bar into a chart and now it's legit? Cool.

Is that from any leak, or just a handy and coincidental 60fps?

AFAIK it wasn't running on highest settings. Probably cherry picked location too.

Personally I'm very interested in the RX470 and maybe even the 4gb version. At the reported price of $149, it would be a nice upgrade for me. I have no interest in any resolution other than 1080 and also have no interest in VR. I'll wait and see what Sapphire comes up with. I'm in no hurry.

The 470 might be quite the awesome sleeper gpu at $140.
Especially if it OC's quite well.

Could be above 380x performance as well.

Kinda optimistic for those specs on 470 but yes, it should be decent performer.

AMD is going with very agressive price/performance ratio on Polaris. At that range you can barely find gtx950. Poor nvidia lol.

    Here -> Less than 5min show, whole RIG don't exceed 170W w/o Monitor !

We have to wait couple of days now !
    I think i can get 2048:1536 steady 75-85FPS in BF:4/Hardline (2xAA)
XFX WC or TOXIC for me

    I agree COMPLETELY.

I never said that they are "bogus". I just said that it will take much longer time for them to be the mass market, because there are greater diminishing returns. They also require much faster hardware to be driven, so they are a good talking point for GPU companies. That doesn't make them mainstream in any sense.

What video? What did I miss again? :nerd:

Didn't know overwatch was that bad on amd hardware. Wouldn't expect 480 to match 970 if even 390x can't at all.

Thats why I said could lol.

Im just gauging off of how well the 480 should be doing in performance gains.

You didn't say it was bogus, Fox did.
