    I already have!
    Running 4x512 at 400mhz 2T and with 2-3-2-5 timings.
It looks sweet when all the LED's are lit up when playing BF2!

Also I do believe the demo is a good indication of how the full game will run since the game went gold before the demo was released.

Also with ram being as cheap as it is, why not upgrade to a full 2GB? Sooner or later it will be as standard as 1GB was/is for gaming.

Even if 2GB is *cheap*. It is still an overkill. And I believe it is useless for gaming.

Never underestimate the rate at which technology advances. I remember everyone saying 1gb was overkill a few months ago. Can barely find anyone with lower than that anymore. And with the next generation games coming soon, 2gb will become essential soon enough.

I know it will be essential soon. But probably not now. Even if it is a bit essential, It isn't enough to make upgrade to it...

My board can handle 4gb so I guess I'll go for all of it.....NOT!!!!!! If 1gb can't play a game then I ain't gonna play it.

I'll probably grab another 512mb stick for $65 (AUD) in the holidays if the full version of bf2 still uses up so much memory, and it uses up alot of virtual ram for me (800megs). That or grab some more fans for the gfx card.

Already upgraded to 2GB, for WoW first and foremost, but BF2 does show a marked improvement with 2GB over 1GB. My second machine has to make do with 512MB now, but hey, I dont play on my 2nd rig. :)

I will be goingto 2 gigs soon too. Everquest II is also a memory hog. @ gigs will be the norm soon I can see it. I wish I could afford to go with 4 sticks of 1 gig anfd get it over with. But that chits expensive.

Not ture. At high settings this game is memory intensive. If you don't have more than 1GB the game WILL stutter at times, especially on the big maps.

I recommend upgrading to get a smooth ride of this game.

runnin 1280x1024 , absolute max settings, with an AA of 4x, runs smoother than silk for me :p don't think my pc exceeds a gig of load while playing bf2.
