Almost 45 years married for me, best move I ever made
I met her at my 21st Birthday party
damn, I thought I was older user here...
Now I feel like a teenager.
I can dole out wisdom at the slightest provocation
Is there anything beside respect and patience that holds marriage together. Asking for a noob friend.
It helps if you like each other and respect some boundaries. Getting old together is quite nice. I like to be 'content' whatever that means to you
We have a nice garden and make just enough money to be OK here in NZ
I just hit 11 years married a few days ago. Contrary to what seems common now days, we both still like each other and want to be around each other.
My advice is don't marry for looks or for lust; marry for personality, attitudes, and actions. Looks/lust are fleeting things that everyone loses with time and aging, but the other things are what define how that person will be 10-20+ years down the road.
