I have a GTX470, and it has a Mini-HDMI, my new Plasma, 50'', 1080p has 3 HDMI ports. Now I know Plasma isn't recommended for using a PC on, but it's really just going to be a "Wow, how does that look?" kind of thing, and not a perma-setup.

Now just want to ask about what I'll need, HDMI Cable wise. Thanks.

You need an mini-HDMI Cable that should have been supplied with your card. Also You need to make sure you have the audio driver installed as well other than that nothing much really. I have my HTPC with SLI GTX 470's running through my receivers 5.1 audio. Awesome setup you will enjoy having your pc on such a big screen for gaming.

Ah well, I can't keep it there. I just want to check it out, besides, it's Plasma, and even with advances, burn-in is still a problem, especially with people using them for PC's, as there are alot of static images.

    So something like this?

I looked at my local Bestbuy and all they have is their in-house Dynex Brand @ 30$, **** that.

Also my card was a RMA Replacement, so it didn't come with one. To bad, if it did I could go check it out right now.

You didn't get a cable supplied with your card? Dynex will do the job for the most part. Being up here in Seattle we have quite a few places you can go to get one for a decent price local.

I agree but I thought you were saying for just doing a local pick up? They are expensive compared to online.

Can you tell if this Mini-HDMI to HDMI? It is Mini, I know that, but the pictures make the second connector look bigger than the first, hence making me think it's regular HDMI.

Free 3 Day Shipping makes it about the same as Monoprice, and much faster than Amazon.

    Ok.

    Yes...

    We've established that..

Screwed, if I order it from amazon, will be 11$, if I order it from Monoprice, will take like a week to arrive.

Newegg doesn't seem to have any mini HDMI to HDMI cables, as the one I've listed above seems to be rejected by everyone.

There is nothing wrong with using your plasma regualrly to use movies connected from your laptop!
